Britney Spears = horrible mother and she's not an Autopian either!

More safety laws should be passed I tell you and especially inside homes by having Gov inspections.

What BS is doing is already against the law. How would more safety laws improve this situation?

I just read that article and she said that she was just protecting her baby. How is holding him 3 inches from the airbag protecting him from the paparrazi?

The baby didn't have time to fix his hair that morning, so he wasn't in "picture mode".

Too funny-found this comment about the whole situation on another board. If I didn't catch all the salty language, that is what the ***'s are for!

Britney decides to drive around with her new born son on her lap. Meaning if an accident happend the airbag would crush her sons head possibly killing him. The only safe place for a child is in a car seat tightly secured in the back of the car. Anyone with an IQ greater than Ashlee Simpson knows this.

After the paparazzi took the pictures and they were made available her story took a different turn. She could have said, "I was stressed and not thinking. I didn't realize the danger I could of put my son in, I'm going to be much more protective in the future." This would of been a easy way to save face and let it blow over. But not Miss Spears, **** no, not today thank you kindly. It was those damn agrressive paparazzi picture takers who are ruining her life. Like a pack of hungry wolves hoping to suckle at her fame tit.

"I instinctively took measures to get my baby and me out of harm's way, but the paparazzi continued to stalk us," the once sexually attractive Spears said. In her statement Spears described the moments when the photographs were taken as a "horrifying, frightful encounter".

"Because of a recent incident when I was trapped in my car without my baby by a throng of paparazzi, I was terrified that this time the physically aggressive paparazzi would put both me and my baby in danger," she said. "I love my child and would do anything to protect him."

The Paparazzi are not the ****ing gastapo, they cannot arrest her, they cannot touch her, and their cameras do not shoot anything but film. Yet she decides they are going to ravage her son, brutely raping him on the pavement while others direct and film the ensuing madness, all trying to exploit her fame and fortune; deciding that driving off with her son in the most dangerous spot in the car is a better decision than taking 30 seconds to buckle him in, wave to the idiot with the camera and calmly drive home.

I hate people who think they are so important that having their picture taken in a public place is a crime against humanity. Her career has already jumped the shark; I can only hope she realizes this, decides to simplely milk her royalties and be happy anyone still gives two ***** about her busted *** face. But she wont. Because she truely believes she is a star. That people want to hear about her. That she's important. That she has a true gift to offer the world. I can only hope that someone drops a hit of LSD into her drink and blows her bloated ego straight apart; it might be the only way.

This happens so many times a day across the country. Just the other day on my afternoon run I saw a guy going down the street doing this exact thing. Why should we care about her if we don't care about all the others? Celebrity news and "People" type magazines are utter crap.

It bothers me when other people do it too. I can't believe anyone would take chances with their child like that. Mine were always in their car seats.

What makes this news is she actually got caught on film doing something that stupid. Plus she needs to find a new detailer. :o

It's just like people who leave their kids in the car while they run into a store. Although not as dangerous as a kid in the lap infront of an airbag, it's just as stupid. You need a license to drive a car, but an idiot can spread their knees get a donation and have a kid.

:sign I started driving when I was 2 (way before child seats). My mother forgot something and went back into the house. I pulled on the gear lever and wound up in the neighbor's front yard. No damage done, except to my mother's ego when the neighbor came to the door with me in her arms.

3-4 times a year in the Dallas area, we have an Amber alert because some idiot left their kid in the car with the keys in the ignition and the engine running. We also have kids regularly die in the summer because the parents left the baby in the car. EVERY SINGLE YEAR!

I guess that answers the question then. I recall reading this release and thinking, what kind of moron didn't know that already?

New Display Warns Parents, Caregivers on Heat Dangers

Never Leave Your Child Alone Campaign Takes Message to NASCAR Races

DETROIT – The increasingly busy lifestyles of parents and caregivers and the oven-like temperatures inside a closed vehicle are again proving to be a deadly combination as summer temperatures rise.

Media reports show that through June 23 this year, eight children in eight different states died from hyperthermia and exposure after being left in closed and locked vehicles. In six cases, parents or caregivers intentionally or inadvertently left them in a vehicle. In two cases, the child got into the vehicle unnoticed and couldn’t get out.

At least 38 children died because they were left alone in closed automobiles in 2004 and were undiscovered in the few minutes it took for the temperature inside the car to elevate. In most cases, parents or guardians forgot the child or stepped away for a few minutes, not realizing how hot their vehicle could get or how quickly.

General Motors, Chevrolet and Safe Kids Worldwide are teaming up again this year to raise awareness of the dangers through the Never Leave Your Child Alone information campaign. The shocking difference between even a mild outside temperature and the temperature inside a closed vehicle is the centerpiece of a new display at this weekend’s Pepsi 400 NASCAR race in Daytona, Fla.

“It is never safe to leave a child unattended in a motor vehicle – even with a window slightly open, said Martin Eichelberger, M.D., president and CEO of Safe Kids Worldwide and director of Emergency Trauma Services at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington , D.C. “On a sunny day the temperature inside a vehicle can reach deadly levels within minutes.

Visual cues and reminders are the best way to avoid the tragedy that has affected hundreds of families. Leaving a diaper bag on the front seat of the car or putting a briefcase that will be needed at your destination on the floor in the back seat are just two suggestions to remember to check for a child in the back seat.

The Never Leave Your Child Alone display will be part of the Chevrolet pavilion at the Brickyard 400 in Indianapolis and the GFS 400 at the Michigan International Speedway in August. The display regularly travels with GM’s Auto Show in Motion and is supported by Safe Kids Worldwide volunteers as part of the Safe Kids Worldwide Buckle Up exhibit.

I mean, GM and NASCAR have to team up to explain to people that "It is never safe to leave a child unattended in a motor vehicle"???

I hear ya Scott. Same thing here in Houston every single summer. You can bet on that and someone burning themselves up with a space heater in the winter happening every single year. People think it will never happen to them. Well, those are the people it happens to.

I'm stunned that it has to be explained at all, by anyone.

"Common sense" has been an oxymoron now for decades.

What's common makes no sense, and sense is no longer common.

That is the best damn thing I have heard in a long, long time.

Do people forget that they brought their kid with them?
