Best Wax/Sealant For Black Car

Your going to get a lot of different answers here. There is a plethora of great waxes and sealants for black cars. One of my personal favorite combos is PoorBoys EX and ClearKote Carnauba Moose Wax. Makes for a nice deep wet looking finish. As others have stated there is other stuff. Pinnacle Souveran looks phenominal on black cars, but its a bit pricey.

Red Moose Machine Glaze. Not sure why it isn't listed in the main product section of their site, but can be found in their online store page.

I am in love with this stuff. Here's a shot of my pickup following SSR 2.5 > FPII > RMG > EX > NB.

Last 3 steps for one of the best looks on black.

My next question is applying and removing product...What is the best way to do it, by hand or machine? Circular motion or front to back and then up and down? When do you need to worry most about swirl marks, applying or removing product? What about QD'd, do you wipe in a circular motion or front to back and then top to bottom? Will they cause swirl marks if you dont wipe them properly? Is that too many questions?

I had the same question about RMG and was told that EX, EX-P, and UPP would all bond to it without issue. Definitely seems to be the case...no complaints on my end.

I applied the polish and RMG with the PC. The EX and subsequent coats of NB were applied by hand. Straight, light, even strokes - front to back on horizontal services and up & down on vertical ones.

How about this? Only clayed, washed with Meguiars GC, and Turtle Wax Hard Shell:

this isnt black but close, more of a metalic charcoal but this was the result of ip fp2 i think, aio sg, dont remember how many coats but the ip handled every imperfection on this thing that was scratched and marred to high heck by a body shop. they did do a nice job wetsanding a few spots though so i guess it wasnt all bad.

polish is back and forth up and down waxing is circular. applying and removing anything is obviously easier by machine, no proof of a better result by removing with machine just saves ya time. qd back and forth ksg back and forth up and down, youll see when youve got complete coverage, i think a pc will apply better than you by hand though as its really easy to use to much as its somewhat hard to see at times.

My understanding is that everything should be applied in the way the wind flows over the paint...so everything should be applied front to back, not in a circular motion..
