Best Tire Dressing? (new Member)

Are there no fans of Poorboy's Bold 'n Bright? That's what I use. It's water-based, so no slinging. If you want a really wet look you can just do a second application. I haven't used a lot of the ones mentioned, though, so can't really compare.

i repeat try ultimas tire and trim guard, it will not sling, it will last thru rain and washes, it's not a dressing it's a sealant for your rubber and trim. you don't have to re-aply it everytime the weather s--ts or you wash your car. it dries dry to the touch, no black stuff on your fingers, it does'nt attract dust or dirt, i don't know what else to say about it, except it can be layered, because it's a sealant, not a dressing, to the level of shin e you prefer.

ultima for me...

+1

I also just applied Hyper Dressing concentrated (no dilution) and love the "bling". Of course, no sling at all, even at 90mph on the freeway as soon as I applied it! Can't comment on the durability, but I got a gallon, so i don't mind applying often.

After wash, I use woolite mixture on the tires, followed by 303, then after it dries, a nice buff. I looks good, kind of a matte black, but doesn't look like a new tire. I do it about once per month. Got my 20" michelin ps/2's june 2007, and now, my tires are starting to get a slight browning. I'm in mild southern california weather.. so I don't think my combo is good. I'm after low bling no sling.

I believe every tire will respond different to each tire dressing.. any ideas for mine?

What do you guys think of Black Magic?

I got 2 bottles of this stuff packaged with 3 applicators for $10 at BJ's not long ago. It pretty good and I will finish the bottle, but I am going to try something different next time.

I've been using the AA tire gel and I really like it! It has a nice finish and it lasts pretty good, but it slings just a little.

I also like the Michelin tire dressing. It has a nice matte finish, doesn't sling, and lasts a pretty good while.

I have a bottle of Hot Shine gel in a gift pack that I got for Christmas, but I still have plenty of the above two products. I also want to try Z16.

My personal favorite is Allbrite - V6 premium tire dressing

less is more IME, and work it in pretty good. i use the leaf blower after to blow any leftover water/dressing out of the tread, etc...

I use one stream of the gel per tire, and I wipe one time. Less is definitely more with the AA gel. One bottle should last forever!

Whats the best tire dressing? As in most shine? I dont really care how long it last. I like to wash my car frequently. I have that Z-16 and I'm really not that impressed.

I've used Z16 and liked it, but I'm guessing that you like shiny tires. I like Meguiars Hot Shine (I've only used the kind in the spray bottle...non aersol) but I will get the gel when I run out. The last couple details I have done have requested no tire dressing, so it looks like it will be a while before I need to buy some.

Meg's Insane Shine. Applied three weeks ago and it still looks 80% as good as when just applied. No sling at all and a high gloss shine. Absolutely no browning on my tires either. Not greasy so it doesn't attract dirt and dust. After washing all you need do is wipe the tire dry and the shine is still there. This is one of the best best tire sprays I've used.

Never slings for me. I have a fairly light colored car and it would show up easily. I apply it quite thinly and wipe the excess from the tire sipes well though. I also let it dry for an hour or two before driving off.

It is an OTC product.

Well I just finished a gallon jug of my normal stuff, I think i'll go check out the local store and try out the "insane shine" as it does look insane in that photo.

Is that photo when it was applied or 3 weeks after applying?

When it was applied. After three weeks the gloss has tamed down slightly but the tire still looks freshly dressed.

Here it as now after three weeks.
