Best OTC wash soap

PA DETAILER

DETAILED TODAY?
Just curious. Whats the best OTC car wash soap you would use? Read good things on megs gold class. And something that does good in a foam gun.

Gold Class or Ultimate Wash & Wax (although UW&W is way too overpriced). Surprisingly, Turtle Wax Zip Wax is a nice soap too, and priced right. Not sure how it works in a foam cannon, but I do know that Gold Class works well in one.

Meg's Gold Class is good but hands down I would say Duragloss 901/902 if you have someone that carries it.

This is really tough because someone that has a detailing store nearby could get almost any soap and some are out of this world...

I dunno if I got a bad batch or what... but my Zip Wax was TERRIBLE. Would have had to add 1L to get any sort of slickness/suds. Lol.

Megs Gold Class has always served me well when I need OTC. Never tried the Duragloss...

Definitely Duragloss 902! I get mine from the local, privately owned, hardware/auto part store. They order it in the gallon size for me. The Duragloss shampoo is far superior to Gold Class! It smells better, glides better, foams better and cleans better.

for a daily driver its all about cost / performance.... DG 901 seems like a winner above Gold Class... I might have to switch it up... Turtle wax isnt my fathers old Turtle wax this new stuff is 99% water

Not OTC unless you live in CA, but 3D Pink Car Soap is a great shampoo that leaves nothing behind, rinses well and at $15 a gallon I think it even has 901 beat for price.

Eh, I wasn't impressed with Gold Class. Mediocre lubricity and I suspect its encapsulation isn't too great either. I quickly relegated mine to wheelwell duty.

Regarding "Daily Drivers", IMO they need even *better* shampoos than a (presumably more pampered) limited-use vehicle.

Now that Griot's is OTC at Advance Auto, I don't see anything else comparing other than Duragloss.
