Just had the car delivered this week and the owner told me there was a few scratches on the hood. I went over there to check the car out and the whole car was covered in RIDS everywhere. He called Bentley and they said the car was detailed before it went on the trailer...long story short, guy in the back used a brush to clean the car.....2 people got the sack cause of this car :drama: hate to see that happen but they did foot the bill for the correction.

It took me an hour just to remove all the compound from the last hack

The car hadnt been driven yet so it really wasnt dirty but i wanted to remove any glaze that they had put on to cover up there work. Sonax full Effect was used on the wheels then Meg APC+ tires and wheel wells

DSCN1558.JPG

Wheel woolies were used, these things rock

DSCN1562.JPG

My pressure washer decided to quit on me while i was there, good job the car wasnt dirty, P21 Auto Wash was first sprayed, then two bucket method, CG Citrus Wash and Dawn

DSCN1569.JPG

It started to pour down so no wash pics, the car was clayed with Zaino and DoDo Juice Born Slippy, dried and then brought back inside into the heat.

I then taped up the edges, clear bra then began to inspect the paint.

I tried a few different combos, some of the RIDS were deep so i have to be more aggressive in places, most of the car was corrected with M105 Cyan on makitia, others were M105 MF pad/Flex

Thought this was a kool shot, the new range just peeking in the pic

DSCN1603.JPG

Looking somewhat better, needed 2 more steps after the initial compound

DSCN1605.JPG

Few RIDS needed sanding, 200 grit took care of them

Excuse the white specs, M105 covered everywhere...the Ferrari's gonna need a bath now

Ah i see pig tails

ohhhhhhhhhhhh myyyyyyyyy................

I don't know what I like more, the cars, the detail, or the shop. Can't wait for the Aventador.

WOW, how do you spell juxtaposition!! O.W. would be rolling in his grave. Most memorable picture this year? I luv it!

Really nice effort, David :)

I dunno what I love more - the cars, the detail work, or the garage. Great work on a great car in a great garage!

Beautiful work on a great car. I haven't had the chance to work on one of these yet, how was the clear coat, soft like most Bentleys?

Wow what a nice garage, I wonder if the owner would sell me some space just so I could sleep beside some of those exotics!

all kinds of sexiness here! you earned it though! great job!

You've got to work on some of these cars, i dont think it gets much better than this......

All threads related to complimentary dealer installed swirls should link to this. It is so sad that a brand new car in that condition is considered acceptable.

Great save.

I was wondering about the comment in another thread about the Aventador. Thought it was just a tease. Looking forward to that. The van looks good too.

That is some very tidy work right there, and the list of cars that share that work space simply awesome.

I still can not understand how the dealers of cars at this value are letting them be prepared by hacks that simple are not qualified detailers.

It simple baffles me.

Daniel

Sick job, David. I hate that someone had to lose their job over it, but that car was beat from the start. Great way to fix someone else's shoddy work, the Bentley looks fantastic now.

Oh and look, an Aventador. Now you can quit teasing us and get back to work!:tongue2:
