AOI/SG vs NXT on the same car.

There are too many variables for this to be considered accurate in any meaningful way. The light variations alone mean the photos cannot be fairly compared. The photos were taken on different days at a different time in the day and the sun's position in the sky is now different after 6 weeks of the earth rotating, so the angle of the light hitting is different. Also have a look at how much the bricks in the background vary between photos.

While I'm appreciative of Scottwax's work, I'm going to have to agree with Micheal.

Furthermore.........

..........One of the main reasons why Klasse has consistently been a forum favorite is because of its DURABILITY. When going head to head against most other products based on shine alone, Klasse is probably not the most impressive product (that's where carnuaba toppers come in).

The reason why I first started using Klasse years ago is because it layers so well and a few coats of KSG simply CANNOT BE MATCHED in terms of the durability of its resistance to stains, spotting, and overall protection. Zaino lasts a long time too.... It keeps its slickness and shine and water-beading properties better than KSG.... however I believe KSG to provide better protection from the elements. Thus, unless NXT can provide 5-6 months of protection on an ungaraged daily driver, comparing it to a product like KSG may not be comparing apples to apples.

Scott,

I know the lighting is not the same in the pics, but on the AIO/SG pics the paint seems look a little clearer than w/ the NXT. Did you find this to be true or is it just a factor of the light, angle, and camara? Great work and thanks for the pics!

Eric B.

With a 6 week passage of time, I can't really say for sure.

That is why I said I can't draw any true comparison between the two. BTW, the car was not even parked on the same exact spot of the driveway. Of course, I was relying on a 42 day old memory when I took the pics. I just wanted to show how NXT looked over top of AIO/SG as closely as possible compared to just AIO/SG. My impression when first trying NXT on a couple of body panels was that NXT made the paint look slightly blacker and deeper....which may or may not be fair since the combination was already 6 weeks old. Not my car though, so I can't put several combinations on it and compare and contrast. Besides, with high end products, often the differences are minor enough that though they may show up to your eye, they don't to the camera.

Tony-It will be May or June before we know how durable NXT is....providing we actually have Autopians who will apply NXT then not wax again until nearly summer!

Wow! No one said that NXT > AIO/SG. And even if someone did, it's just their opinion. However, Scott's photos are a hell of a lot more comparable than most other photos people put up. What the heck is he supposed to do? Completely prep and wax the same car with two different products without moving it and do both in the same instant in time? 6 weeks of the sun moving up in the sky??

Thanks for posting the picts, Scott. I thought they were neat. :xyxthumbs

What does this have to do with anything? Did it seem as if anyone was coming off as defensive because of some 'perceived' but not actually written conclusion that NXT > AIO/SG?.......Because I sure as hell don't care if NXT > AIO/SG......and having known Michael H for quite some time now, I highly doubt that that is what motivated his post as well.

Well, at least I agree with part of your post.... Neat pics Scott!:xyxthumbs Your pics are always consistently impressive!
