What's a good one step product, eg. wash + wax?

I was thinking #6:nixweiss

Is there anything that looks as good as VM with more durability?

I think S100 would be the easiest wash/wax. I can't really say speak for the durability of S100 by itself.

I was thinking in terms of a "cleaner wax" or polish. Couldn't get myself to apply S100 to a finish that wasn't properly prepped.;)

I used to offer a one step, but if you do, the uneducated customer will go for it becuase it is cheaper. I now have my customers trained on multiple steps and I also explain my process to new customers and they are fine with it. No way do I want to offer them a lower cost option.

Theirs a lot of good one-steps like Meg. cleaner wax , Gold Class, #6 , #66 and Color X . Mothers cleaner wax and Reflection, and Eagle One Wet. Their are also others.

yeah i do an express service. a hand wash and then a one step starting at 35 dollars for a small car. Detailking makes a good one step product. Yeah I know price is low, I live in PA full car detail is 125 how sad, until i get established

I'm always surprised when I use #6. It's a very good product!

I've learned not to let it dry ... just let it haze for a minute then buff off.

NHBFAN,

I offer an express detail....it is a good way to make a few fast dollars with minimum amount of effort. An "express" detail need not be cheap or looked down upon as long as you explain to the client the difference between your "wash N wax" and your full bumper to bumper detail.

I use this product by Top of the Line http://www.topoftheline.com/tolae/32ozpainswir.html

It claims to last for 3 months but I would put that estimate more around 2 months, maybe a bit longer with a wax based QD.

The gloss and ease of use is amazing, especially for a one step product.

Thanks for the tip, Anthony.

How do you apply it? PC with polishing pad set at about 4, or do you use a finishing pad?

I usually apply it with my Cyclo with either the white or green pads. If I were to use my PC I would most likely use either a polishing pad, if there were some minor scratches or swirls or a finishing pad if the finish is in nice shape.

You can also apply it by hand. On a clayed finish itgoes on nice and easy if applied by hand but applying to much may cause some streaking.

Me too! Wished everything I wanted to try was $5.95.

For my personal truck it looks like I'll be trying Wolfgang products soon. Hate to think about the $$$ this is going to cost if I like it.

Why do I keep opening "cans of worms"?
