Anyone have both a Rupes Duetto and a Rupes 15mm?

I`ve been playing Dr. Frankenstein with some my my longthrow machines and my PO5000C..

Duetto is the only tool I`ve never purchased.
I know essentrics swap between machines and even Chinese clones..
With the duetto having a larger shroud than the 75e ..it got me curious.

Is there enough clearance to swap a 15mm essentric in the duetto?

Well if anyone cares, you can install both a 15mm and 21mm essentric in a duetto, just use the matching backingplate that corresponds with the mm essentric/counter balance

You were able to find some clown who bought a Duetto for no good reason to compare them side-by-side? What are the chances? Wasn`t that Rodent guy, was it?

How is the balance after you have done the switch? And do you feel it`s works good with it? Is it increased the performance from the 12mm throw to 15mm or 21mm?

I`m wondering if a 5" backing plate would work on my Shinemate EX603-12 that is a rupes mini copy. The specs is the same as the Shinemate EX605-12 that is a rupes duetto copy. And I have a 5"backing plate that fit the mini too. Good to know if I would have need for a smaller 5" polisher. Maybe the counterweight is different between them to handle the 5" backing plate. That would not fit in the shroud of the mini. What do you think about that guys?

I haven`t personally did it just had a couple guys help me out to accomplish my curiosity.

I can ask the guy, but from my experience with swapping essentrics and backingplates from other longthrow machines , it`s best to match the new essentric with the matching backingplate of said essentric to retain best balance.

As for the shinemate it`ll be the same ordeal

I know my 75e and my Adams SK mini(same as shinemate you listed) shroud wasn`t large enough for anything past 12mm

On another note the Adams SK and your shinemate will have a male stud backingplate whereas the Rupes 75e and flex 12mm will have a female style backingplate
Rupes n75e has a smaller than the standard 5/16 hole than rest of longthrow backingplates (will need drilled out to mount on others)

I swapped on a Griot 2in BP and also a rotary to d/a adapter with 2in flex BP and both had considerable vibration to where I wouldn`t use it that way
