Any Other Cancer Survivors?

At age 18 I was diagnosed with Muco Epidermoid Carcenoma. Basically cancer of the hard pallet and salivary gland. I went to the oral surgeon to have my wisdom teeth pulled in my senior year of high school, he noticed, what appeared to be, a tumor on the roof of my mouth. They lanced it, ran it to pathology, and boom.....senior year gone. Surgery was a success, moved on with my life........

Flash forward...9 years to the day of my surgery, my wife is preggers with our first child, and I find another lump at the edge of my defect.......GULP, I call my mother over to look, (to not freak out my wife) while Christine is out shopping. Mom started crying. I knew it was bad. Went to see both Dr's who performed the initial surgery. BAD NEWS.....It's baaaaaaaaaack.

I had to bring Chris into the fold in the most gentle way I could. Since she is a tough woman, I chose to soft pedal it Stop, to keep her hormone infested mind at ease, and invite her to a "routine" visit with one of the doctors. Thet went "well".....Tears were comig out in buckets!.......

Second surgery, considered a success (like 1st) was followed by eight weeks of radiation, and I am happy to report that I have been cancer free since 1995 . By the way......she had a bouncing baby boy on 04-24-95. 2weeks before my last surgery :scared:

So that's my liitle "c" story ;)

Great testimony. Nothing will change your life in a hurry, like cancer.
