After I wax with Klasse, still some streaks

I notice that sometimes if I look close enough, after I wax off the Klasse SG, I haven't put quite enough elbow grease since I notice that I didn't fully wax it off. But if I really wipe it hard, it looks better. Just wondering if I should get a cheap random orbital just for the purpose of waxing off the car? Will that definitely solve this problem?

You might just be applying too much SG - it goes on VERY VERY thin for best results. I generally use literally about 5 drops per 2-3 square feet. Wipe on, spread around, buff off immediately. If done correctly, it does not require much E-grease.

Remember SG (and it's twin, AIO, which I see you also use) are acrylic polymers - they work through chemical action, not buffing intensity. They differ from traditional waxes in this. With wax, generally, the more/harder you buff, the more they shine. With chemical agents, this is not necessary. Correct application, removal, and cure are the key.

Yes. The problem is, when I spread it too thin, I can't tell what panels actually have wax and what doesn't. Like if i missed a spot, it's hard to tell especially on panels on the side of the car. Do you have this problem when spreading it thin too?

Apply very thin - that is the key as you well know by reading here. The wowo method has proven to be very effective and a much easier way to apply SG (be sure to wait 12 hours or so however, between coats of SG although it can be applied right away over AIO).

The haze you see may be due to applying too much product. If this happens, I would not use a damp cloth but rather a squirt of 1 part SG to 3 parts distilled water in a mister bottle or, better yet, in a refillable/reuseable aerosol can. Incidently, this makes for a great QD when the car is very clean or after every wash. It rejuvenates the protection and gloss but must be applied over a clean surface - it is part SG afterall. Simply spray over the haze with a squirt of this homebrew and buff - the haze should come right out. Unless you are an expert, Klasse is better applied by hand than machine.

I can't find the thread where someone mentioned this technique, but that is the technique I used to apply SG. If anyone can find the thread/author, I will edit to give credit.

Use a damp applicator and dripple some SG on there. Gently touch the paint with the applicator and pay careful attention to see a "flash" of SG applied. There should be so little SG on there that it only shows a for split second before the "flash" is gone. Good lighting will definetely help.

This takes a while to get used to because you have to trust that there is SG on the paint, since you can't see anything being applied. Using this technique, there is nothing to buff off. I usually do 2-3 layers in 2-3 days to ensure equal coverage. A bit of work to apply, but SG definitely last a very long time. I bit too long, that I had to remove it after 7 months to try new stuff :)

Ditto on the damp towel. Or you can just spray a tiny bit of water on the panel your working on. Works like a charm!!

I have noticed the same streaks when using the Klasse SG as well.

I just hit the panel with a light mist of quik detailer and wipe with MF towel and it's gone.

And seriously, there is no need to wait between coats of SG??

I usually wait about 24 hours in between coats so it can cure and bond properly.
