Adams Polishes Any Good?

Hello All,
I have been looking at Adams polishes and am wondering if their products are high quality and worth the money. I would be buying the cutting compounds, butter wax etc. Their products look good but i`m wondering how they perform before buying. If anyone could share opinions on Adams Polishes and give any other recommendations for detailing compounds, etc, that would be great.
Thank you all

They are probably good polishes. Depends on application as to what flavor of the month polish might be slightly better.

I spend some time researching and ordered their polish. Seems to be abrasive enough but finishes smooth. I have decided to apply essence afterwards cuz I’m coating. I’ve read nothing but good/ great about their polishes/compounds.

If not dead set on Adams though would seriously consider Griots BOSS line. Seems to be a favorite and used more by geeks and topians.

Can’t go wrong either way.

This linked thread was started for comments about the new Meg`s Mirror Glaze Professional line compound M110 and polish M210, but it does contain some info and suggestions about other compounds and polishes that might pique your interest:

I am going to ask a similar question as was asked above: Do already HAVE Adams polishes in your possession OR are you thinking about purchasing them?
Also, what kind of buffing (polishing) machine do you have OR are thinking to buy?

Ferganzer- Welcome to Autopia!

I won`t patronize Adams myself, and I do wonder *why* somebody would go that route, but I doubt there`s anything *wrong* with that line. IIRC, the people who make their stuff are basically OK (which means that everybody who markets said stuff under a private label is probably OK too).

Generally, I`d think that you oughta have some pretty definite reasons for choosing a given product or product line. Reasons you can clearly articulate.

FWIW, if starting from scratch today, I`d almost certainly go with Griot`s, although I`m doing fine with M101 followed by 3D Polish.

I used the Heavy correcting compound, with a micro fiber pad.
It worked well, not too heavy. Seemed like not alot of lubrication in it as it was drying as I polished, with some dusting.
I will try again, this time work it less.
Really liked the bottle and pop top, and the color coding is kinda cool.
Scent of minty cherry.

;)

I definitely got my eye on this baby !!
Just need to pair down my products and make room.

Have not used their paint polishes, but their detail spray, car shampoo, tire and rubber cleaner, carpet and upholstery cleaner, and wheel cleaner are fantastic.

Adams is a good full line of products. Mostly aimed at enthusiasts

So many good correcting fluids out there today

I’ve spent thousands and thousands of dollars on Adams products over the years. Once I opened my eyes I realized there are much better products out there for far less money, there was no going back. I’ve given away just about every Adams product that I had since then. They are truly a company catered to enthusiast.

I agree with this. I have been using Adam`s products for almost 11 years now. Now that I polish 1-2 cars a month, the heavy correcting compound is not cutting it any more. I think I am getting ready to try sonax out. I do feel as his polishes are expensive for what you get. I really like his interior cleaner products and detail spray, so I will still be using some of the Adam`s line, just time for a new polish.

Some of their stuff is oddly cheap compared to the competition. I get their Iron Remover for $40 a gallon on sale, which is dirt cheap compared to just about everything else out there. I uses Sonax Fallout before, which was $109 for 5 liters. And somehow Adam`s tamed the smell to where it`s breathable. Not great but so much better than anything else I`ve used. If it doesn`t work as well as Iron X or Fallout, I can`t tell. I know it`s less than half the price though. And then, the next product will be way overpriced, their pricing makes no sense to me. It`s really like they have different divisions for each product, and they don`t bounce anything off one another and just randomly make prices up. I love just about all of their interior stuff, and it`s not expensive imho. You gotta pick and choose with them. Their new Ceramic kit looks pretty promising. 50ml bottle, bottle of surface prep, bottle of ceramic boost, 2 single soft towels, 2 suede removal towels, gloves and 2 suede applicators. $106 shipped on Amazon, not bad at all. I`ve never touched their actual polishes, but the feedback I see has never wow`ed me. And their polishes are E-X-P-E-N-S-I-V-E. $75 for a 1 liter bottle? JESUS.

Of course I have a lot of Polish Angel stuff, which is the most expensive enthusiast brand out there, so my opinion on pricing is kind of shot lol. And even if they`re pricey I <3 their single soft towels.

Quebert, I have done a few cars with their Ceramic coating and have had good results. I started using Cquartz recently and have had good results with it.

I buy a few things here and their from Adam’s. Got a Halloween sidekick the other day for less than $60. Didn’t know I needed one but that’s half the price of the big boi I was looking at.

As for their polish I used the orange and best I can compare it to is Griots CC. It dusted way more and felt it correct less with the griots finishing just as nice. It’s ritired to friends cars
