adams butter wax vs clearkote carnauba moose wax

III

How do these products compare? Looks, durability, ease of use, staining trim, etc......

These 2 waxes are so close(in my eyes) that its hard to call.Really I don't think one has a edge over the other.
Iwould like to here other opinions because these are neck and neck

CMW leaves a much wetter looking finish. BW darkens the finish a bit and adds more depth. Both seem equally durable to me. Both are also very easy to apply, with CMW being somewhat easier to remove. I haven't noticed any excessive staining with either product.

awd330 what color car did you use these products on? just wondering? also it doesn't get any easier to remove ADAMS BUTTER WAX.JUST MY OPINION

I've used the CMW on several different colors ranging from burgundy to off-white. Metallics and non-metallics too. I've only used the BW on beige metallic and medium grey metallic paints. The BW isn't especially difficult to wipe off. I just find CMW to be a little easier. The original question asked for a direct comparison between those two products. My personal preference would actually be to use EX in place of BW. The looks are very similar, but EX seems to wipe off a little more easily for me. If you want to speak strictly about ease of removal, S100 paste wax would be the best I've found in that regard. As always, YMMV.

Butter Wax was designed specifically not to stain trim, and the newer version comes off even easier than before :wow

Adams is the only product that I can get all over my black grained trim and you never see it. Other's including Clearcoat will leave a white residue behind , and we all know how fun that is to get off.

IMHO when it comes to ease of use or removel of wax I find that CMW P21/S100(dont use it very much) and ADAMS are all on the same page.they are all so easy I really can't pick one from the other.I apply very thin and they come right off with little or no effort.I believe the amount you apply and the MF you use is what makes the difference!!!!!!!!!!!

Perhaps the BW has been reformulated since I tried it? :dunno For the versions I had, CMW was easier to wipe off than BW when using the same application and removal processes.
