There are just some people that should not be driving. Its like they can't focus enough or are just plain too stupid.

I'd say at least 30% of the drivers around here fall into one of those two categories. It is beyond comprehension why we continue to allow pathetically inept drivers to clog the roads and endanger others. Some people should have "PTO" for public transportation only tattooed to their foreheads.

The only problem with that tatoo idea is that they would have to enact a tatoo tax to pay for it. In CA the DMV is a big profit generator

As awesome as that would be, I don't think it would work. The only thing I see working is actually raising insurance rates for these idiots to the point where they can't afford to drive. I'm tired of subsidizing idiots with my rates. Some people have yearly "accidents" and think its all a part of driving. Their cars get repaired "good as new" and other than a small deductible, there are no repercussions. Now with these accident forgiveness policies, they don't even have to worry about increased rates.



We also need extremely harsh punishments for driving with no insurance. If you have a lapse in insurance, turn in your plates within 7 days or you are getting picked up for a weekend in jail.
