The 5/20 motorcraft produces some amazing UOA's for a not so expensive oil.

It does, as do all of them. Synth, dino, or blend, the 20's are showing that they cut the mustard even in V-10 heavy trucks used for towing.

Certainly there are limitations but it's unlikely that the everyday driver will tax them. Toyota is now starting to think thin too.

I was amazed the first time I pulled the stick on my gf's Mazda Tribute with the 3.0 Duratec V6 and saw how clean the Motorcraft 5W-20 oil was after 5,000 miles. She does tons of stop and go driving, idling and this was back when the temp was 100+ for many days in a row in TX.

The inline 4 in the Acura is a kitten compared to the abuse a V10 would throw down on the same oil... you have nothing to worry about.

As a side note, we're running Delvac 1300 15W-40 in our old 1987 Integra 1.6L in the summer months and it hasn't exploded into a million pieces or anything, it's actually very happy. That engine has over 300k on it now so yours still has a couple miles to go in its useful life.

Just gotta throw in that the Motorcraft 5W-20 is some great stuff and very affordable. Wal-Mart has quit selling it in some select areas, though, so automotive chains may be the only place to look.

Supposedly the Trop-Artic 5W-20 sold at Dollar Tree is a great bang for the buck oil too.

Just curious is the Motorcraft 5W-20 you guys are raving about a dino, blend or synthetic oil? I also don't understand why its so good. I though most dino oils for the most part are the same?

I think I'd get banned from CRSX if I told them I was using Ford oil in my Honda...lol :nervous:

Honda is world famous for thier engine reliability. Follw thier directions and use 5W-20. I have used for the last three years in my Accord and it works fine.
