Merlin:
How did you get to the very high roof top of this conversion??

So there was NO clear coat on this custom paint job? I guess that is the reason for using the Meg compound & polish twins M110 and M210, as they seem to be well-suited/compatible using them on single stage.

Wish we could have see pics of the conversion inside, even though you do not detail interiors.

I wonder how the conversion company can use the "Explorer" name, since that IS a trademark of the Ford Motor Company for their SUV. I guess I don`t know what "agreement" there is, if any, between the two companies.

Not sure how you cleaned all the windows and with what, since you did not state that the C-Quart coating was applied to them.

Nice detailing workmanship on this conversion van. Like Sizzle Chest stated, you are a glutton for punishment to take on such a big job.
Would you do this big a job again if someone asks, or was this a special favor to a client and a "once-is-enough" experience?

For your "Merlin Shot" for this van it would probably be of the roof and for that you would need a drone with a camera to get up that high!!!

It would seem the subject vehicle is a product of the Explorer Van Company, which was started on November 1, 1980. Apparently the first Ford Explorer was introduced in March, 1990. So to your point, not sure how that works since Ford trademarked Explorer in 1997.

SOMEONE is always looking out for me and "kindly" pulling BOTH of my feet out of my mouth (AKA, correcting my misinformation).
If that is the case, then you would THINK Ford approached this conversion company about using the "Explorer" name.

Then again, what is in a name?? Come to think of it, did not Ford have the "Sprint" name, like a Falcon Sprint??? I guess "Sprinter" is different enough and who would confuse a Sprinter conversion van with a `60`s Falcon Sprint. Then again, calling a van "Sprinter" is like calling Olympian 100-meter runner Usain Bolt "Pacer". Yeah, an American Motors reference.

All I know is the conversion van looks SWEET with Merlin`s detailing.

Lonnie, I don`t think you had a foot in your mouth, much less both. You brought up a good point, so I looked it up. Still an open question whether there is some agreement between the companies on that name or if they a mutually ignoring it.
