wait....you can do overspray removal too???

are you sure???

:P

I thought anyone could do it with a razorblade? :P

Great video Garry, I am not one for bodykits, as they are often not able to be fit 100% due to the tolerances of the materials but you made it look as good as possible.

Great job and video. I do have one question though, why pull the roof trim? Even if it's thin, there is no sun exposure under the trim piece to oxidize or degrade the paint. Nice microscope btw, saw that thing on a car detailing tv show and wanted to buy it!!

Nice save. I would be throwing that body shop/dealership under the bus in a hot second. That customer I'm sure paid a butt load of money to have that car modded and they just screwed it up. Pathetic. They had no business buffing the paint and getting overspray on it.

They should be paying for the detail, not the owner.

Yeah the spoiler piece was just double sided taped on and was coming off everywhere... What a poop job!

That particular trim fills the "rain gutter" area of the roof. Rain travels under it so that it doesnt go in the windows. The paint is very thin in the groove so I like to Opti-Guard in there for extra protection. I go above and beyond the call of duty. Thats what makes me different than most.

Like the color. That's a pretty cool scope. Can you save images or does it have software?

Thanks, John. Yes, I can take video clips and save images.

I feel like throwing them under the bus would not only do no good at all, but in my mind it lacks professionalism. What I should do is go in there and talk to them about having me do their work from now on and show them this video.

The kit was a $3000 option... He is working on having them give him all of the money back and take care of the detail. I have armed him with this YouTube video and the threat of exposure.

Excellent response and true professionalism. Always let your work do the talking for you.

And that's a great way to do it too and good luck with that. Body shops usually don't know they suck, because they don't know any better in the 1st place. You've got so many people responsible for making sure things are to be done right, that all's you'll end up getting is a bunch of finger pointing. Bottom line, they failed miserably in atleast 3 different areas (Painter / Detailer / QC) that you (or the car owner) needs to take things as high as possible (i.e. = throwing them under the bus to the owner/manager). Being professional is how you do it.
