Looks awesome. Especially the wetness of the hood shots (shot #2 in particular). Is this your vehicle. How do you like it so far?

hey if this is your car, how do you like it so far. I want my mom to buy one, because she is looking to trade her '03 Lexus RX and I want her to get an RL.

Can you give us a list of pros and cons of the car? :xyxthumbs

haha sorry guys, in the first long post i had that got erased i explained it.. this is my dads car. im only 17 and i could never afford this thing...i payed 2500 for my piece of cra p :) I myself have only driven it twice. it flies. 0-30/40 is normal, much faster with a turbo, but on a highway its passing power is crazy. its incredibly smooth for passengers, extremly quiet, and it has a great nav/sound system. can easily fit 5 comfortably and and starts around 50k i believe. interior is awesome... everything leather, the dash is so nice id NEVER use anything like NXT it, maybe thats megs quick detailer but nothing shiny. it has blue interior lighting, kinda cool. so far ive seen no cons, but i'd have to ask my dad who drives it to work everyday. all i know is he loves it. he chose the acura out of lexus, mercedes and infiniti pricerange. its peppiness doesnt compare to my moms audi a6 turbo, but it all depends what kind of driving your into. sorry i couldnt elaborate more, this is just from driving it twice and riding in it many times. hope this helped an i glad you guys like it, second time using my pc and i young so i have plently of yrs to perfect it.

:xyxthumbs Looks great Tensors. The RL is a wonderful car... a friend of mine has one. I get him to drive to lunch. :D

Thats a great job :xyxthumbs

A tip for you that I use whenever I am creating a long post, it might be best to use a word processor to type up the info, and save it. Then come here, and copy and paste it into the message box. A better solution though is to use notepad (a much better program is Editpad which you can get from here http://www.editpadpro.com/editpadlite.html . This is better because you get the same format as you would once posted here, it handles links as this website would, so your text looks like it would here. :)

Nice work!

I'm warming up to the new RLs. I always like the interior but the exterior didn't say "$55,000" to me. Its growing on me though.

Hey goodnclean, and others who want to know, the msrp for the Acura RL is 49,670. Also, for you autopians, the paint process on this car is fantastic. After the primer is shot, technicians hand wetsand it so the color coat goes on smoothly. Then two, yes two coats of clear are applied to the finish. I don't know if I can say this, but I do work for Rosenthal Acura in Gaithersburg, Md, so if you have any other questions about Acuras just pm me.

But with options its a $55k car isn't it? You'd know better than I.

Rosenthal is a nice dealership, I almost bought a TL from you all in 03 before I bought my Lexus. PM me your name I'll pop in and say hi sometime :D

thanx axe, i will deffinitly do that from now on. i have both of the progs u mentioned, just wasnt prepared to have it erased when i pressed the back button but ive learned my lesson.

goodnclean; i think alot depends on the color. it is an somewhat oddly shaped exterior but it does grow on you. somewhat similar to the new lexus 330 i think.

and pocon, the paint on my dads is very good, u are right. i can hardly see any OP if any and it didnt take any serious products to get it looking good. the flake in the sun is crazy especially with the metallic, i havent seen anything like it, sorry those pics didnt get it

good, it comes standard with the nav system, so there isnt much else to upgrade. you can add a factory wood shift knob and steering wheel which my dad got along with new 18' rims and rubber floormats. But it comes VERY nicely equipped at the msrp pop listed above

If you mean my model ES I agree with you, it did and does take some getting used to. My reservations about the RL's styling werent the same as they were about the ES' styling though. The ES was totally different than any styling direction Lexus had taken in the past. The RL doesn't fit in with the design direction that Acura set forward with the TSX, the RSX, and the TL. The front end looks like the previous generation TL with a short hood, the shape of the headlights, the side profile looks like the Accord and the rear resembles the older CLs. If the family resemblence of the TSX, the RSX, and the TL is meant to be Acura's styling direction the RL doesn't look like an Acura, which is weird seeing that its the newest one to come out.

btw thank u everyone for the comments. i no its mainly for the car itself and not the work on it, but its encouraging to know it looks decent for my second time around, thanx
