2001 Navy Blue Metalic SS Camaro....

35TH LE

I figure Ive been here a while... Ill go ahead and share some details Ive done in the past couple months. Ill start with this one.

This beauty came to me with a few minor paint defects.... swirls all over, few light scratches, and mild white paint overspray.

Process:

-Megs GC wash

-Pinnacle Poly Clay with Megs QD lube

-PC7424 with Orange E2K pad and Megs #80

-PC with White E2K pad and Megs #26

-Glass with Stoners and MF

-Tires with Megs Gold Class Gel

-Tips and wheels with Flitz polish

-Megs QD before pics

Heres some examples of the swirls:

After doing a couple test spots I decided on what combo of pad and polish to use. Luckily it took a mild cutting pad and relatively mild polish too. Heres a couple shots after fixing the test spots, I used both flourecent (tubes) and Xenon (hand held) lighting to highlight the nice fixed paint.

And some final shots. This car is so gorgeous it ALMOST made me want to sell my 35th LE SS to find a NBM (Navy Blue Metalic) SS.

Just beautiful!

Glad to hear the paint wasn't too hard for you to polish out, I did a similar one (metallic purple) and the paint was like a rock!
