Wow.... that doesn't look fun at all.



Just one more example of why after people reach ~65 or so, they should be subject to annual evaluations of their driving to ensure they are still safe to be on the road.

[INSERT my usual rant about driving skills in this country HERE]. IMO *everybody* needs regular retraining/testing. Mine's biennial and at 52 I'd probably benefit from making it annual.
 
I am truly amazed at how strong the pillar is where front drivers door meets the rear quarter on the sebring. Looking at the front of your van and how far it pushed the nose in. Amazing. Side curtain airbags may have saved the 82 yr old ladies life but I can't imagine how well she held up.



Keep us posted on how you, your wife and what the insurance does for you.
