Hello, my name is Mike Fitzgerald. I have read several forums and have seen your site has an informative outlook on this business. I have detailed over 1500 cars ranging from Geo metros to R8's to boats and RVs. I have a strong desire to start a mobile business in March. I love what I do. I am 24 years old and want to build a good future for my daughters and my wife doing something I get complete enjoyment and satisfaction from. Do you have any advice on getting ready for something like that? Such as, how do I get dealerships to give me their business? When should I start looking for the clientele, before or at the time when I'm planning on starting the business? What do you all believe is the most effective marketing strategy? What do you think about waterless washes? Im confident enough in my detailing skills. I just need a set plan on the best way to get the business initially. Also, how to do mobile detailing for dealerships. Do I mention I'll need a section of their lot to detail a car for them? I'm looking to do 3 cars a day 5-6 days a week averaging out at $120 a car full detail. Labor is not a problem and I'm a natural businessman. I just need guidance from the more experienced. Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from you all soon.

Good stuff I'm surprised more people don't offer a good mobile detailing service around our areas? We have a couple down here but don't have a good reputation their cheap prices match their work.

Does anyone have any success stories they'd like to motivate with? I'm naturally ambitious but a little first hand experience story telling can only help!
