2002 Pontiac Trans Am

[Merlin]

One of the last Trans Am's made.

About a year ago the client had his car repainted to the original factory color. I will admit the painter did an excellent job.
However, He has been improperly washing his car for the last year and it looked like it has lived its entire life in a Tunnel-O'-Swirls.
This client was meticulous about his car and he knew every square inch. He had a detailed list of lots of items he wanted corrected.
It took a four step polishing process and a little over 20 hours to correct it to a perfectly flat, swirl free, scratch free, high gloss finish.

He said he never took it to a "car wash". He did all this by hand.

I did instruct him on the proper way to wash it in the future.

Sorry, I didn't get time to shoot the after pics until the client came for pickup.

I know I didn't get any direct sun shots when it was completed. (I was busy working)

Hopefully the flat reflection speaks for itself.

BTW-He is entering it in a local car show tomorrow. Hopefully I can take some sun shots there.

Rims changed from LS1 to a LS2. Intake and bigger throttle body, custom cat back exhaust.
WS6 convertible 6 speed. Pulleys replaced, custom dyno tuned & custom hand painted rims.

1) Thanks...Interestingly enough the orange & black process was totally different.

2) I just washed my DD today...I have used nothing else on it and it's still beading.
Thread -->Simoniz Glasscoat Advice<-- It's not pretty...actually it looks like nothing.
It doesn't have a silky smooth feel...I'd like to put something on it that "looks" good.
I have resisted the temptation to see how this stuff holds up. 7 months still beading.
The car is outside in Florida sun 24/7. I'd bet you could top it & it would still hold up.
