Yeah, we`re approaching the point where shipping is going to equal (or exceed) the cost of the item. It`s definitely off-putting :(

Aw man. I failed to detect the sarcasm of your opening line. :(

Sorry :( reality sucks ... this isn`t just for companies with commercial accounts, this is for everyone .. this also includes probably USPS since Smart Post rates are included

Conspiracy against Amazon ?!?!?!?

Shipping co`s to bring back brick and mortar stores............

i forsee more vendors having product avalible on Amazon for just this reason. I hate shipping companies making hard on the small sized vendor to just promote and sell their own products but Amazon can cover us at least with the free prime shipping lol

I don`t ship as a business, but I do sell somewhat regularly on eBay. I never use FedEx because their shipping costs are almost always higher than the alternatives (USPS or UPS tend to be less expensive in all my experiences), in some cases I`ve even seen their pricing DOUBLE that of their competitors.

Looks Like AMAZON Prime will be more valuable in the future.

We get much better rates with UPS in my business. FedEx does not value the smaller shipper IMHO :(

Freight is real, but it still sucks.

Shipping in general has gotten more expensive, which is curious as fuel prices have gone down considerably since their peak in 2013.

Amazon has been acquiring freighter aircraft and built a distribution hub because it was less expensive to operate their own fleet than to pay UPS and FexEx. Amazon is also looking at shipping freight for third-party customers, taking on UPS and FedEx.

Rip everyone else. Amazon is the steamroller.
