zymol qustion?

I agree that SRP works best with multiple applications and that it's not the most effective cleaner (at least with just one application). Side-by-side tests showed me that KAIO cleans better....but that doesn't mean I like it better than SRP ;)

While a product like SRP shouldn't "layer", the product info says that it will and when I tested one application against two the area with two applications stayed slick and beading longer. The key seems to be to do the second/third applications rather gently so as to not clean off the previous one(s) and the Autoglym literature said to let it cure for ~24 hours between applications.

Ibls: SRP Means SUPER RESIN POLISH.

Its a chemical cleaning agent, with minor abrasives, that seals the paintwork with a resin coating. Its like KAIO but it hides alot of swirl marks and contains a minor abrasive, a bit like CK VM. Is the basis of Autoglyms durable, two step process. It would go down so well with people on here who dont have a machine but seem to be using KAIO as a base.

I WOULD NEVER EVER USE SRP AS BASE FOR ZYMOL.

The Zymol has so much oil, where will it go if you seal the pours with an AIO product?

Further more, SRP is a reflective product, topped with Nattys it looks very wet. However any thing with SRP as a base suffers from major reflections rather then depth.

Time and time again i see people on here KAIO then a oil based glaze....no no no no!!

Ahhhh....very good!!!!! See Maxi and Accumulator!!????!?! I wasn't dreaming up this stuff.

steelwind101- Good description of SRP...yeah, it's another all-in-one and some of us like it better in some ways than Klasse AIO. It sure does leave a lot of stuff behind, and is a much more durable product than KAIO.

I get good depth with the SRP/Souveran combo, at least on the Jag's metallic ss laqcquer. Might not work out nearly as well on other colors though...

I dunno about the SRP/Zymol incompatibility, but of course I've never tried that combo. The part I don't see is the Zymol needing to get into pores  Many paints (e.g., near-perfect condition b/c like on Audis) don't have enough porosity/micro-fissures/etc. for products like Meguiar's Pure Polishes to gain a toehold, yet those paints still work fine with LSPs like Zymol (or so I hear). Certain single stage paints are one thing, but it seems to me that the porosity of most (good condition) b/c is virtually nil.

I've used a scad of different carnaubas over top of SRP, and it's always worked out well.

lbls1- Heh heh, just because *I* like how SRP is under certain LSPs that doesn't mean anybody else would like it :o But since Maxi has both it and Souveran, the topic seemed worth discussing.

Welp, guess you'll won't ever know until you take the plunge and get (fill in the blank. Hint: It starts with a "V")!!!!

*Heh heh*...lol!!!!!

lbls1 isaid you cant get good result WITH SPR + ZYMOL WAX =normal finsh i AGREE

this very nice product but ,when use SPR and layer WITH carnuba you make big mistake.

SPR WORKING GOOD WITH AUTOGLYM EXTRA GLOSS +AUTO SHAMPOO (LIKE QD AND BEST BEADING WATER).

i used NXT,P21S,SIMONEZ MAXWAX, OVER SPR its was dissponment result for me .

im sure you cant make good combo with spr and other name .

accumulator : the big mistake in AUTOGLYM company ,you cant found the product like glaze or polish , imean there is not good organization like meguairs to know what to use step by step .

Ok Maxi. Now, what is your course of action after all of this?? What are you gonna try next??

my system : when i use zymol wax i will use SAME NAME hd-cleand, when iuse pinnacle souveran iwill pinnacle prewax , but if the prewax not have i good qualitiy like p21 prewax i will go to pure glaze like farecla pure glaze or meg7# any glaze befor wax better than any cleaner wax.

What's the disappointment if I may ask?? With the zymol in particular??? You were saying that it lacked gloss or something If I remembered right?? Have you tried the straight zymol yet?? Have you done a good mechanical polish, then a cleaner, and three spaced out rounds of an eg, without color x and the other product????

Edit: you can use the hd cleanse if you like, just make sure that its right after the polish. If you are in really good shape, you might even be able to just do hd cleanse and a zymol. I'd rather you'd do a slightly more abrasive polish b4 hd cleanse though...it can even be a hand applied swirl remover or pre-cleaner.

the disappointment when iuse WAX OVER SPR ,the SPR look like klass but more dareker

more darker and apply carnuba make car darker more ,after this what y can imagination

the car so darker maybe YOU KILL THE GLOSS .

zymol wow when i use farecla compand + farecla machine glaze+zymol prewax +destiny= like HIGH DEVINSION LCD TV:2thumbs: .

Now I'm clearer. The zymol will only reflect what its on top of, and if you have something like a sealant that's rendering a finish, you will not get the potential results that the EG's are capable of. Its not that you won't get a decent result, but you may deprive yourself of getting OUTSTANDING results.

It really doesn't take much to get Destiny going (well other than the labor intensive process lol!!).
