Your biggest passenger pet peeve?

It drives me crazy when people kick their shoes or boots on the sills to knock off snow or dirt.....how hard is it to knock your own two feet together and not kick the crap out of my car?

The worst though is when people set stuff on your car or lean up against it. One time my boss set his briefcase down on my trunk lid and proceeded to rummage around in it. I just had to sit there patiently and bite my tongue thinking of how I no longer have a mar-free surface.......and how it's not a good career move to scream at your boss.

:werd: You rock. hopefully a small cloud formed over her head and it started to hail on her, putting out her smoke and causing her to get a cold. You did the rightn thing bro . . . i tip my hat to you good sir. :xyxthumbs

No, unfortunately not. I saw her today for the first time since the "incident" and she looked at me quizzically and said, "why did you have to be so mean and kick me out of the car?" Just shook my head and kept walking without saying anything.

Did you ask her why she wants to die and smokes? Did you ask her why she was inconsiderate and smoked in your car? :argue

1. Slamming doors

2. Passengers with food and or drink (It's ok for me, I own it!)

3. My Friend let his dog greet me while I was in my 4Runner, because I love to have my doors mauled!

4. Backseat drivers.

5. Dragging their feet on the door sills.

6. Using the center arm rest to push themselves out of the car.

7. Turning down the radio with that super fast, I'm too lazy, flick of the knob.

Well, I guess I was refering to my perfectly dressed leather seates having markes on them. :nervous:

Yeah I am gonna have to go with Super_Herb on this one, I really don't have any problem whatsoever with a girl going commando in a skirt in my car.

Oh another thing... I had a date who pushed the door open with her foot, left a nice footprint... I still cringe at the thought of it.

Cars were not meant to be perfect. But I guess what we are trying to get at here is that it is more of a respect thing. In a mutual sense. You treat my car with respect, I treat you with respect.

Oh, and burping, farting, eating, drinking, smoking, breathing too hard, sneezing, coughing is prohibited in my car. :)

As long as she doesn't stick to the seat...that's why you always have QD and a MF somewhere in your car!!

I'm not too ridiculous about dirt on the mats or fingerprints on the glass, it's all easy enough to clean. Slamming the doors is kind of annoying, but I am unfortunately used to it, it's a 2 door so it's pretty easy to do. The thing that annoys me the most honestly is people forgetting to lock the door. I have power NOTHING on my car, so I usually just politely ask people to punch the passenger door lock as they get out of the car. How many remember? About 30%. I have a few of my friends trained and they just do it for me now (which is awesome), but most don't remember.

The other thing that annoys me is leaning on /touching the car. I am the ONLY one who gets to touch ANYTHING on the exterior beyond the door handle, and 9 times of of 10 since it does have manual locks I end up opening the passenger door for them anyway.

GREAT TOPIC

#1 has got to be closing the door by the glass. The mustang does not have a frame around the window it is just door and glass. The GF ALWAYS closes it by grabbing the top of the glass and slamming the door. I try to remind her but every once in a while....

Im making progress, she knows no touching the stero or rolling down the windows after a wash or while the air is on

People complaining about how small the back seat is. I bought the car BECAUSE it has a small backseat because I didnt want to haul everyone around! Used to have an explorer and people would say "oh you should drive your car has more room" now they still say I should drive and then ***** about the seat.

Also feet on dash as said before.

A little explanation, firm rules, and curtesy avoids many of these problems. Rule is, I don't allow food in the vehicle, and would never pull up to a drive through. No sense having the car smell like french fries and getting greasy fingers on stuff.

If it is a smoker, prior to boarding, I ask them if they need to smoke.

For close friends, I tell them to close the door by the matte black area beside the glass, in order to hide fingerprints. Fingerprints do appear from time to time, but it's no problem since I clean daily.

One thing that no one has mentioned, and that I have no real solution for, is cell phone usage. Some people are on the cell phone 24 hours a day--these are usually females with 8 boyfriends, or someone with a finance. A quick 1 minute chat I can handle, but constant talking on a cellphone in the passenger seat, while I"m trying to concentrate on driving, gets on my nerves. I feel like pulling over until they are done. Their voices sound so sappy I just can't take it.

My worst pet peeve which has only happened twice, involves the placement of my shifter:

People like fiddling around with my radio, but I stupidly took my friend in the car with me, and he goes dicking around with the radio, and knocks the car out of gear. Goddamn I was mad lol.

I agree. That's a stupid place to put a stupid looking shifter. What other wierd appendages does your little Japanese car have? I can think of only one reason for that shifter, and it involves girls riding three abreast (six abreast?) accross the two front seats.

Did that shifter handle come with D batteries?
