Your biggest passenger pet peeve?

My girlfriend rides with her hand hanging out the window or her elbow on the window with her hand by the roof. I drive with my arm on the door, hand not on paint. I have to QD the door of my car and by the roof everytime she's in the car to remove her fingerprints.



She also wears studded belts and I make sure that she doesn't slide that damn belt across my leather seats huge side bolsters.
 
Leaveing garbage in my car, Writeing on windows and SLAMING DOORS what is up with that??? i dont do it may dad is crazy about not slaming doors shut his truck door in his new GMC and it shattered the back window, i would never buy one of thost lots of problems!

Oh yeah, I hate that to. Especially if there's also wind that pushes the open, and you can just feel the door pulling on the hinges when it flips open :soscared: Hold on to the door when you open!!



While I agree with most of the stuff here, somewhere there must be a thread where people discuss the most anal people they have ever taken a ride with as a passenger :D
 
I hate putting people in my back seat...no matter who it is or how long they sit there my floor mats wind up under my seats.



Also my gf never puts the seatbelt back...so it twists up, drives me nuts.
 
As a passenger, I HATE getting into dirty cars. Ever get into one of those cars where you wonder if you're going to catch something by sitting in the seat?



Besides my bf, I don't have passengers in my car. If passengers will be a potentiality, we take my bfs car.
 
My biggest passenger pet peeve, would be smoking but non of my friends smoke, is passengers on cell phones! Cell phones are my biggest pet peeves in most situations though. When I am driving I don't want to have to sit and listen to a passenger talking on their phone.

You reminded me of another. People kicking the snow off of their shoes against the rocker panel. :lol: I don't mind it on my truck because it is a lease but my other cars I hated it. I used to tell them, just get in, don't worry about the snow. LOL

I HATE THAT!!!!! But what really blows me off is when I wash the car, and there's a water pud, and my wife LOVES to go over them!!!! Drives me insane, and I tell her nicely: "I highly appreciate you trying to keep the wet look on the car, but it looks wet enough, so STOP GOING OVER WATER PUDDLES!!!!!!:grrr :grrr :grrr :grrr

Slamming my doors drives me crazy. Its a frickin 1 year old car, not your greasy granny's 83 Skylark. It takes 1 frickin finger to close the door.

I don't really sweat the stuff that can be cleaned up.



Door slamming is my biggest peeve. I cringe every time I drop my kids off at school. The Mustang does have long, heavy doors but they will almost close themselves if you just get them moving a bit but the kids in the car line tend to take two hands and put everything they have into it :nervous2:



Fortunately these days the wife takes the kids to school most of the time :getdown



My second biggest peeve is smoking. Neither the wife or I smoke and I don't have much tolerance for people smoking around me or my family either. I definitely won't allow it in my car.



I know it would put a lot of people out of work but, I wouldn't lose a minute of sleep if the whole industry went away tomorrow :up

Actually kids are pretty easy to teach about slamming doors, I've taught mine well. Close the door slow until its about a finger width away from being shut, then push it as hard as you can with your one hand. Door shut, no slams and no bump and grind against the door.



What I can't seem to make them stop doing is finger f-ing everything in the car when they get bored. Vents, switches, windows... etc. I just tell them to pick their nose instead if they are bored. :chuckle:

The problem isn't my kids, it is the kids that work the car line at school. My kids are in elementary school and when you go to the drop off point, it is lined with kids that open the car doors to let your kids out and then they close them.



I think I would rather find finger prints on my glass than buggers :D

AHHHHHH!! I CANNOT STAND THAT!!!!! I have to tell ANYONE that closes my doors NOT to slam them.. Thats just something I CANNOT stand!! WTH!! Finger prints are another biggie. Cannot stand when they touch my computer monitor either!!

What? Can't anyone do anything for themselves nowadays? Who decided that kids should not be expected to open their own door to get out of the car??? It reminds me of the school buses here that pick up every kid at their house, like it's that hard to walk to the bus stop at the end of the block. These houses/apartments are ~100ft from each other....give me a break!

WTH? I missed that post. What sort of school is this? I for real never heard of this. I would think for liability the school would want the kids away from the vehicles.
 
My girlfriend, has turned into a bigger fanatic than me. She parks strategically to avoid dings, avoids puddles, does not allow mess or food in the car, always uses handles (along with all her passengers), does not touch glass, and anything else. I love it. I actually look forward to cleaning her car every week as its just soo easy to wash.

Have you guys ever dropped kids off at an elementary school? The line is terrible and is usually held up by someone fumbling to get all their stuff together. They aren't really trying to be helpful, they are trying to keep the darn line moving...



The kids aren't in the road, they are on the sidewalk and the cars pull up the the curb and the kids open the doors from the sidewalk. These are generally the 5th graders and they generally aren't out there by themselves, there are usually several teachers as well. This is a large school and a lot of people at the elementary years drive their kids to school...
