wheel brush?

I use the Magic Eraser for a lot of stuff, but just an FYI for those thinking about using one, they can leave marring on a painted surface.

Yeah, I would never used one on my car's paint. I used one on my bedroom wall where I had a scuff and now the wall paint is all dull in that area. LOL

They work great for making interior surfaces look new when they are worn down and shiny.

I use the ME on plastic/vinyl and that's about it. Using the ME on painted surfaces like wheels or modern leather finishes (essentially painted) scares the poo out of me. These things are pretty abrasive.

I like the EZ Brush too, been getting great results with it (though I'm sure my prep helps a lot ;) ).

I just bought the EZ Brush and used it for the first time the other day. It's great! It reminds me a lot of the discontinued Meg's brush that was mentioned in one of the earlier posts on this thread except improved. Comparing the EZ to the Megs brush the bristles are longer, there are more than one type of bristle, the wire in the center is more flexible, the bristles feel softer, the brush overall is longer, and it seems even though the bristles are longer that it squeezes into tight spaces better.

Griot's Garage has a couple brushes I like to use on my wheels.

They are both sponges and not bristles with a wire core. The larger one has a plastic handle and core and I use it to reach through the spokes to the back side of the wheel.

The other is kind of hot dog shaped on a wood stick The sponge is about 1/2" diameter and about 3" long. I use it to clean around the lug nuts and in the tight areas between spokes.

Thats pretty much what I use it on, sometimes on leather that is really shiny from yeas of use I will use the M.E. lightly to make it less shiny, works great.

Agreed. It's a great brush and better than the Meg's as the nyolon is more flexible thus less prone to damage. One qualm I have... Mine keep snapping off where the braided center wires meet the handle. Two brushes, different retailers, three months apart. At $25 after shipping, those things should not be snapping off after three months, low volume pro or not.

that's NOT good. these are expensive and should be more durable.

Unless it's for the beater-Blazer, my wheel brush criterion is this: If I wouldn't use it to wash the hood of a new black Bentley I won't use it on my wheels.

Agreed. I'll use a nice wash mitt after it's seen enough time on the car (but is still far from trashed). The best solution to fight brake dust is to wash them often enough so you don't have to use any chemicals.

I only use the wash soap that is being used on the car and wash regularly. Granted my PCCB's give almost no brake dust so that's nice. Although a 9K option to fight brake dust may be a bit extreme LOL
