Washed and clayed at the same time

My routine....

Wash, rinse, clay while rinsing......

If i need to hit the area again with the sponge or with my hand or whatever, i do so...!wallah...no biggy.

I'm a fan of the wash-while-you-clay technique too. Just keep plenty of water on the vehicle to prevent any spotting or film build-up

I did it when it was nice and cool and cloudy so I had plenty of time to work. I washed a section, left the soap on and clayed, then I came back and washed it again real quick and rinsed. May be a different story when it gets warmer.

My actual procedure is to:

Rinse the panel; wash and rinse the panel. Spray some soap/lube on part of the panel and clay, then rinse that area. Spray/clay/rinse the rest of the panel, lightly rewash/rinse the (entire) panel. Goes a lot faster than it sounds.

For me, the rest of the car would dry too fast, I think. What do you do about that? I washoutside in the unpredictable shade of trees and sometimes the day is hot and windy!

Although not a practical solution, the last two times I've clayed, they were on rainy days. Other than that, you just have to rinse down the entire car after each panel.....and try to do it either early morning or late afternoon.
