Tropically Detailed: Ford Expedition (I forgot how tough driven cars are!)38 pictures

Outstanding turn around inside-and-out!

You're an excellent detailer. :xyxthumbs

I always enjoy viewing your work.

Even the more mundane of the vehicles you detail, you treat like an exotic. :bow

I feel your pain on that beast, I detailed a Suburban on Monday...and to make matters worse, I had the interior deep cleaned, the exterior was washed and polished, tires and fenderwells cleaned and dressed AND IT STARTS TO RAIN!!! :angry

Older house so no way it would fit in the garage. All I has left was to wax it, clean the glass and dress the interior. Ended up being a nearly 2 hour wait.

Daily drivers SUCK! :) Ok, maybe its not that bad. I cant even imagine what it would be like to work on garage babies all the time. Or even decently kept vehicles for that matter. If I ever get back to Florida, I'm absolutely stopping by Tropical! Awesome stuff ya got down there!

I cant imagine having to work where you do. All I hear about is rain. If you move to Seattle, maybe you can catch a break! :LOLOL

I guess you missed in my post Scott, it rained on me at the almost the same time. The exterior was finished (minus the Zaino) and still some minor stuff (engine/rear interior), and that was it!! It cost me about 45 minutes only. I used it to my advantage though, since i still needed to wash the car to get some of the dust off of it from compounding. Sorry you had such a bad break and thanks for the kind words :D

I spent 45 minutes on the front seats, then as I was moving to the back, the heavens opened and we got pounded by tropical force rain I washed the car with Z7 to remove the polishing oils and dust from the menzerna, gave it a quick rinse and let the pounding rain do the rest.

Awesome job Todd!!!!!! I have had a few of those "bring me back to earth details." I havent seen carpet stains in a long time LOL!! Its feels good though when you make a huge difference in daily driver though. Keep up the good work!!!

Yeah Jim, you should go take Tampa by storm, I am telling you the place is ripe for the pickings of a great detailer like you.

Not as good as it feels to polish a clean Ferrari though...

Thanks Chris, I appericate the kind words!

Great job!! Amazing turnaround on the interior! You mentioned that you used brushes attached to your PC. Are they the ones that are available at AG? I have been wanting to try them. Do me a favor and let me know what you think about them and which ones you have?

WOW!!!! That was beat and you made it brand new again. That thing is now glowing with happiness!

Yeah, I just saw it again today and it still looks great. I tried of the Zaino glass polish, and it removed the water marks from the windows very easily. Next up is to tackle those damn etchings

Wow, nice work Todd.

Seeing how you treat the regular vehicles the same as you would treat an exotic says a lot about you.

Keep up the good work.

Thanks. I think the thing is, that if somebody is willing to pay what I charge, then that obviously says something about how much they care for their car. Not everybody wants/can afford an exotic (though this owner has one) but since when are we to judge a person's passion for something by montery value or rarity?

I already know you know this as well do a lot of other great detailers on this board, but you have to be able to appericate how much somebody cares about something if they treat it to the best. The object doesn't matter, the underlying respect does :D

Its the 4 inch green bristle brush from the Geek. I only have the four inch one as it was part of a Lake Country pad package I ordered once. I think it works great on carptes (depnding on the carpet type, on soft, meduim length cut it really works awesome, but on rougher or loop carpet it kind of binds up and makes a little raggy.

It works great on the leather surfaces and armrests, stuff that gettys grimmy fast. Over all its a winner, IMO! :2thumbs:

Its a 4 inch green bristol brush that I ordered from Autogeek. It screws in like a backing plate and works great for carperts/cloth/vinyl/and at slow speed, leather.

Todd, excellent work as usual. A quick question though, why didn't you opt to use the Megs APC on the seats as well? It is my go to leather cleaner, and it gets EVERYTHING out, and safley and quickly at that. I usually finish up with a quick Z9 and a bit of Z10, and it cleans perfect and fast!
