I use the sponges that come in my packages that are used to cushion the merchandise. I also use sponges that I buy at the dollar stores. I cut them down to size and use them once and throw them away.

nice find, i use to use these but they don't last very long and fall apart (two piece construction). my choice for applying tire dressings is the round slotted applicators (one piece construction) and one will last you a very long time...

You use those pads to dress tires?

the first one i used lasted for many months. i'll never go back to using the tire swipes, the foam is too soft and after a while when it gets saturated with dressing, it falls apart...

33 cents apiece is pretty good........hard to buy a quality pad for use on tires at 6x+. Plus, the HF's have been good so far. If it gets me through a few cars worth of applications per pad, I'm good.

HF stuff is CHEAP CHEAP, don't get me wrong.....not likely buying quality tools from them, but they do have some bargains. When I picked these sponges up last night, also bought a few other do-dads including a heat gun for like $9, carpenter's square for ~$5 and an aluminum 1.5 ton floor jack for $59 w/coupon. The jack is going to compliment my monster Walker that is bullet proof, but a monster to maneuver. Figured this little one is a good thing to have for the occasional tire change, etc.. Very low profile for the 'vette, as well.

And, if you don't get some fee stuff when shopping at the HF, you're doing something wrong. Last night, I rolled out with an LED flashlight and another set of cheap screwdrivers......have about 6-7 sets of those. Just keep looking in the back of C&D, Motor Trend, Popular Mechanic, et. al. magazines........always discounts & free stuff......gotta have that free stuff!! :) :)

FYI - did you guys ever see this web site about HF product reviews?? Would be good to add you opinions, whether good or bad experiences......helps sort their stuff out!!

It's gone....they have it. But, they're on sale a lot for $0.99. Check from time to time. But, you can always use their 20% off the $1.99.
