The new ride...2012 Edge "Sport"

That is really a nice ride and in great taste. You know that if you paint that grill to match it will eventually be rock chip city right? I would imagine that 3.7l engine will make it quite the sleeper once it breaks in.

Drove it in to work this morning. It's awesome...comfortable, quiet, minimal road noise, the 3.7L offers lots of zip on the highway...and the voice activated feature kicks ass. I don't even have to search the radio for my favorite stations...just press 1 button on the steering wheel, call them out and they come on.

Love this thing!!

Freaking great to hear!:rockon

I've seen a number of those around and I remember reading about it when it was coming out. I really like the looks of them at all and you got a beautiful color and the wheels are very cool man! Congrats!

Does that sit on the same chassis as the Volvo XC90? I know that Ford adopted some of the Volvo stuff when they owned them, but wasn't sure if this was part of that. Maybe it's on the XC60???

We have the XC90 V8 Sport and absolutely love the thing, so I am curious if this sits on the same chassis. The sport suspension on it is a must!

That is a sweet ride man, good luck fighting your wife over it! I never get to drive our XC90!

YNOT,

I realize I am a tad late to the party, but welcome to the fold. The next time I trade up in Edges, I may go to a Sport but I am actually enjoying my Limited.

This is what I have done to my 2011 thus far:

  • 6K Type 2 LED Switchback bulbs for the turn signals
  • 5K LED backup lights
  • 5K LED Puddle Lamps
  • 5K LED license plate lights
  • 5K Vanity Mirror Lights
  • 5K HIDs w/ Canbus Ballast
  • 80% Windshield Tint
  • 35% Tint around the car (Legal AZ limit)

Have you (or your wife) set your ambient lighting yet? My wife wanted the purple.

I like Fords - see avitar! My mother in law is looking at the Fusion or the Edge to replace her ancient Buick, since I detail her cars, I'm hoping for the Edge - way cool!!

The Edge is a great car...just don't buy one with the SYNC system as we've had nothing but problems with it. Ours has been serviced 7 times now and it still doesn't work.

I loved our Mariner which as you probably know is equivalent to the Escape. It was a great size for us for just local running around and stuff. When we looked for a new car, the plan was to buy the 'new' 2012 Escape until we sat in it...hated it. My wife is now traveling more so we wanted something a bit more 'roomy' when we both went on these road trips. The Mariner was great, but just not as roomy as we wanted.

The EDGE is certainly more roomy but it is quite a bit bigger. Just keep that in mind.
