Still using QEW

Thanks for the offer Scott. I still have about half a bottle of ONR to use , but I will stop at my local RV place and see if they have a sample. I just want to give it a try . If they don't have a sample I'll hit you up.

Hey vintage have you tried the DP yet? I was so torn on if I should buy it or not. It was only $25 but I still have like close to a gallon of ONR, which I love btw. Its just hard for me to pass up such a good deal. I couldnt find any in depth reviews as to why people liked ONR over DP4in1. Everything was just "I prefer onr because it works so good". Or something to that effect. No one said why ONR was better though.

Sorry to derail a thread

:nixweiss I used QEW for 12 years and ONR beats it hands down in lubricity, added gloss, slickness and beading improvement and that is based on side by side usage. Both seem to clean equally well and I can get both locally (QEW was actually easier for me to get until the RV place closed) and QEW was a few bucks less.

Ive used quite a bit of QEW myself (Not nearly as much as Scott) and dont even think theres a comparison......I never cared for those little "floaties" in the QEW either, lol. NRWS is sooo slick afterwards. Its been a while since Ive compared pricing but last I remembered a pint of QEW was about $10.00 vs. 15 for a Qt of NRWS?

NRWS FTW!

These responses are suprising. I never bothered to try QEW because I had read that you can get marring pretty easy with it in comparison to ONR. I might give it a day in court now...

They are suprising to me too. Other than about the same cleaning ability I don't think there is any reason to use QEW over ONR. :nixweiss

As Mike Phillips says though, "find something you like a use often". :)

Sorry to further derail this thread but . . .

It was in the 60's today so I thought I'd do a quick wash on an Explorer. Moderate amount of winter road salt on it. I mixed 2 oz of DP 4 in 1 to 2 gallons of water. Eurow shag mf was very dirty. Bucket solution was very clear but lots of debris at the bottom. Cleaning ability if right on par with QEW and ONR. After drying with a ww drying towel and plush mf (both by chemical guys) the Explorer was definitely not as slick and shiny as ONR. It's the same slick/shine as QEW. I won't comment on the marring, as this Explorer was already swirled up quite a bit. Sorry, no pics. Overall: a good value @ 128 oz for $25 sale, but ounce for ounce, ONR is a better product. With my personal limited experience, I would say DP 4 in 1 is the same in performance as QEW.

Thanks vintage, the thing that kept me from buying it was the cost per use. Even at $25 per gallon... DP cost about 39 cents per wash where as ONR even at $40 cost about 31 cents not to mention you can get it at discounted prices sometimes. I think that settles it for me.

BACK ON TRACK NOW.......thanks

Just got an email that ONR is on sale today only at Detailed Image. The gallon is $29.99 plus shipping.

With all the money we spend on this stuff I really can't see that minor amount swaying someone one way or the other on which to use. I'm sure they are both great products although I've only used ONR.

ONR and QEW are the most discussed here , but there must be quite a few other who claim similar results and similar usage .

I use QEW every week from December to March.

We usually get at least 1 nice day each week here in KC. If not I just do it in the garage. Follow with a Z6 wipedown.

Undercarriage blast in the spring.

I have always liked QEW better than ONR. Can't really explain it, just personal preference.;)
