Spring Clean #80, VM, EX-P & Nattys

Thank you all so much for the huge compliments which I don't deserve on my own. At the end of the day most of my knowledge comes in huge parts to so many of you out there. I learnt a great deal about methods and products from fellow autopians.:up I am thrilled with the results and will get more pics soon. The second set of pictures did come out much better than I thought as the car was covered from road salt which was still about after the recent cold spell. I need it to rain so that it washes away quickly.;)



Detailgirl: Camera is Nikon 4300 which is a 4mp camera.:cool:



More pics to come over the next couple of weeks I am sure. If in the meantime there are any questions about the products or procedures from those unfamiliar with them please feel free to ask.
 
Yes absolutely superb job :xyxthumbs great colour and paint on that car too. Th look you have going on the wheels is awesome, outstanding work :)

Wow, aweseome pics ::eek: , thinking about doing the exact same combo on my car, a metallic grey, but wasn't sure about VM as I have read mixed reviews on it, i have #80, EXP and Nattys, and was thinking of an extra product to add a bit of extra depth, looks like i will have to give VM a go, did you find it easy to work with.

I'm going for a wet combo on Wednesday with #80, VM, and Paste Glaz on blue-green paint. (Yes I know PG is "meant" for light colors). :)

With any luck I'll get results similar to yours!

VM is deam easy to work with, apply even in direct sunlight (keep the pad moist though if doing so) and wipe off. Very nice finish. Take extra care with #80 as it has a lot of oils in it and if you don't work it properly I find that you get smears later on.

Thanks for the compliments, I have a lot of work to do next time to get it even better. Windows do roll down but because the car had been cleaned and washed earlier putting them down and then back up again would have meant cleaning them again.

However I'll get more pics out soon.
 
I thought that the VM was a "glaze" too. Wouldn't it be overkill to glaze and then glaze again?



If that is the case, I may use the VM with my Menzerna FTG.... hmmm...

Yes and no. What I mean to say is that #80 is not really a glaze but does leave a nice finish and has oils in it. However the main purpose of using #80 were to remove swirls. The glaze from VM is even better IMO and on top of #80 it really is different. Like I said in my intial post, after #80 I could have easily skipped to a sealant or wax as my LSP and be done with it but just so that I had more to do ;) and to get the extra pop I applied VM, then EX-p and then Natty's.

#80 Speed Glaze is indeed a polish (another confusing use of terms by Meg's). It breaks down to a finish that looks very glaze-like but it without question has some good cutting ability. VM does add more depth and wetness to a finish with just #80 alone.
