Spots

When I went out today, my car had sprouted about two dozen spots on each of the front and back hoods. Some are pretty big, like an inch across. I attached a picture. I can't feel anything - the finish feels smooth. Would my clear coat suddenly fail in numerous spots overnight? Last week I washed the car and put on a coat of Klasse Gloss Sealent. I washed it again today. No roughness or feeling like the spots are raised.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Clear coat failure? The edges don't seem like a bird bomb, but that might be.

Hard to tell from just a photo, but others will chime in for sure.

Cheers,

It looks like it's coming from the basecoat out. Seems like the basecoat didn't outgas right and is causing the clear to lift. Notice the pin hole bubbles concentrated within the affected areas mostly. In case you're wondering, it cannot be fixed and needs to be totally sanded down and refinsihed. If these panels were repainted, make sure to return back to the shop. Hopefully Flashtime will chime in on this one.....
