Casebrius said:I'm currently using LCVC 7.5" pads with my PC because they are all that I have. ... If they are not optimum for me, I'll get something differant. I'm ignorant of other pads on the PC because I haven't tried them.
stevet said:Megs pads are decent but for $30.00 + CDN they are a total rip off. I can get a LC pad for $13.00 CDN and they are excellent pads.
Scottwax said:Wow. Sucks for you, eh? Why so high in Canada? I bought 3 Meguiars pads the other day from my distributor for around $32 with tax.
stevet said:Actually Scott it sucks for Megs because I just purchase another brand that is just as good if not better. Megs loss not mine.
Go to Megs On line and see the threads in the customer feed back forum. You will be surprised at all the responses from Megs customers all over the world. Read the most recent ones I was involved in. If you live out side of the USA and purchase Megs products get out the Vaseline and be prepared to bend over and grab your ankles because you know where you will be taking it big time.
Look what I have written under my user name here on Autopia. It's there for good reason. Megs:down
Accumulator said:For correction, smaller pads work a *LOT* better than the 7.5 ones. I don't mind the large pads for glaze/LSP application, but no way can I do an marring removal/etc. with the bigger pads. The PC just bogs down too readily. IMO, even an aggressive application of a paint cleaner will go better with smaller pads.

cheapshot said:I drew a picture of the LC Curved Edge Variable Contact (VC) Pad. I have no Idea if it is correct, But this is the way I understand it. This is basicly why I prefer flat pads. But I'm just starting out with detailing and still learning lots. Let me know if you think otherwise or if you agree?

They are built better, have the variable contact, which I love, leave a flawless finish, and last forever!
