RMG = HD Cleanse ?

I was wondering if RMG is essentially the same as HD Cleanse or Pinnacle Cleansing lotion.

I have RMG so if I don't need to buy those then cool. I'm planning on trying out some Zymol Vintage and see if it lives up to the rep :)

Hello

No they are not the same. By machine RMG will display cleaning and some very minior defect correction ability, about the same as Poorboys Pro Polish. By hand its just a simple glaze.

HD cleanse cleans the paintwork by hand and like PPCL leave some oils on the paintwork. These oils fill minor imperfections.

The best point of RMG and why its my choice is that it creates a very natural warm wetness. No a faux plastic look and helps to bring out the metalic flake.

This is important as you dont want to be applying Vintage for example which will give excellent optics and spoil it before hand with a poor glazing choice.

RMG is easier to apply then HD cleanse as well. Post polishing i would and do choose RMG. If i need to cleaner surface first then its HD Cleanse.

RMG wont remove the HD Cleanse oils, how ever you might find you end up wiping most of the RMG off as red dust.

So should I be ok to use RMG instead of HD Cleanse or should I get something like the Pinnacle Cleansing Lotion?

Hi!

If you have properly polished or are applying RMG by machine then you are fine :up

PPCL and HD cleanse are really one of the same.

Here is where i got my CK gear from:

As superbee says you need your no cut pads!

Put a decent X across the pad and spread with the machine off, spread at about 2-3 with it on them up to about 4 and you should see the RMG "melt" in to the paintwork and become nothing more then a thin, maybe even invisiable red dust. After the first few goes you will see your pad goes reddish and becomes saturated quite quickly, i need nothing more then penny size amounts after the first panel or so.

dont use a cleaner wax as you will simply remove the RMG you just put on... just use a normal finishing wax...

I used RMG for the first time yesterday, on a 3m blue finishing pad on the rotary at 900rpm for a few passes. A dream to use even in full sun, and it visibly darkened the VERY pale yellow paint very slightly, as well as cleaning up the very slight traces of polish splatter and residue left from a full machining :bigups

I swear it also just filled in a few minor imperfections that the polsihing wasnt going to get out - I was VERY impressed and it will be my go to paint prep before waxing now for sure :heelclick

Nice reviews, I'll be getting my RMG today and using it this weekend. It's going on a Dark blue metallic BMW which will be topped with CMW (Carnauba Moose wax). Can't wait to see the results!

I ordered some from Danase.com It was cheaper and I want to compare it to DWG. I also got some PB Black Hole Glaze with my last autogeek order. I'll give a review when I get a chance to use all 3, will probably use 1 on my Carbon Gray 3, 1 on my mom's dark blue CR-V(happy mothers day) and one on my sisters black Versa(trying to show her how to take care of her new car).

would love to see the 3 of those compared - we cant get the DWG over here, but it sounds great. i would love another good glaze to use with sealants that doesnt clean and can play nicely with UPGP and Opti Seal, Jeffs etc....

look forward to it :D

I wont be using cleaner wax.I was planning of applying rmg on top of my existing layers(kaio,sg and 845)after which i will apply 845 again(just to see the difference).ty

Big Pikle, DWG is the same as CG EZ GLAZE (or atleast very similar) there are 2 version of the EZ Glaze, one with gentle cleaners and new release with no cleaner powers.

As for sealant compatible glazes we can get in the UK: Prima Amigo, CG EZ Glaze, FK even have as well!

Opti Seal will play over an oil based glaze, it will top nubas for add protection with out changined the looks hardly.

I have a bottle of EZ Creme Glaze II, but got it used, and on the label it says 'super mild cleaners' so am going to assume its the old formula with cleaners? Is there a way to differentiate the non-cleaning version.

I have a friend in the US next week and was contemplating getting them to bring back some DWG instead....

HA! Chemical guys have the worst labels! My bottle said no cleaners, then in further text explained how gentle cleaners would prepare the surface!

I dont know if the new bottle say if they have cleaners. I just asked CG if theres had cleaners and they told me there was new version out now that was cleaner free. Some people on here have mentioned it, prehapes they can chime in if they have a bottle?
