I'm certain we wont ever see any evidence to back up Kims claims. I really dont even care. What I really want to see, is more of the Mayor and moderators taking turns pimp-slapping a registered member. To hell with site rules and a friendlier wax community. This thread lookes like a moderator drive-by.

I confused why the self appointed site morality commitee hasnt protested their conduct.

By the way, a pic of a bottle of wax sitting on a Craftsman Series Truck proves nothing. I have a stack of pictures of myself with Nascar drivers and crew. Not one of them have any idea who I am.

Its what they do....

By the way, that's Brett Bodine standing next to Rob (waxing the truck with WF) in front of the GM Goodwrench hauler at Altanta Motor Speedway...on it's way to final inspection before the race. Just one of the many NASCAR teams we work with.

Oh, here's one I'm sure you'll have fun with....WF is also on the US Olympic Bobsled Team's sleds (men's and women's). Should I tell them to strip it?

Wax Shop was prominently featured on several cars running in the NHRA back in the 80s and 90s. Doesn't really mean anything other than Wax Shop was paying out contingency money to winning cars with their stickers on them. And yes, those teams did wax their cars with Super Glaze in the pits. Doesn't mean anything other than a financial tie in though. Not that Wax Shop products are bad, but they aren't the greatest either. Decent shine, incredibly easy to use but poor durability.

Point is, you can have all the tie-ins with race teams you want but it doesn't prove your products are any better than anyone else's.

I do have a 1/3rd full bottle I got from someone else and I will give it a fair test. I didn't pay for it so I don't have a vested interest in how it performs since I won't have to justify the purchase price in my mind.

Scott, send it to Mr. Chemist. He can do some blowtorch testing.

I'll second that. I'm interested in your opinion Scott as a user, but I'd also like to hear from Mr. Chemist on his testing.

I'm really sorry to see where this thread went. I was off the forum most of the day yesterday taking advantage of a new Boxster for the day... it was a nice break. Had I seen where this thread was going, I would have jerked it back in line.

Kim, your early posts in this thread broke our commercialism rules. I should have shut you down on the spot. I didn't because I wanted to try a new a new approach to commercial involvement to see where it would go. Now I know... it went down hill fast. I baited you and you took the hook. I'm sorry you got slammed so hard, but this is exactly the problem we try to avoid by leaving commercialism at the door.

Several days ago I came up with a plan to allow manufacturers to publish information about their company, products and technology. The opportunities will be accompanied with samples for Autopians to test and review. I believe this will be the best way to allow manufacturers to constructively introduce their products to the community.

I already have 8-9 manufacturers that have expressed an interest in this new program. I will be posting the guidelines and a calendar in the very near future. In the mean time, the rules regarding commercialism will continue to be enforced so that we may avoid these uncomfortable exchanges.

Product manufacturers that I have not yet contacted may PM me to let me know youâ€â„¢re interested in the program. I am trying to get it kicked off in early March.

David, that is a great idea for manufactors to get their products and info out to the community and receive feedback. I'm sure am glad you jumped in because I think Kim, the lady that she is, was about to kick some Autopian behind. We messed up assuming that Kim was a guy. Ms. Kim welcome to Autopia. Usually everybody is pretty nice but your not suppose to push your product. Good luck with your company. Wes

Just to let everybody know I was just being silly in my previous post. I was trying to lighten up a heated debate. I received a PM and he thought I was being serious. We're such a nice forum, compare to other ones I have been to, I just hate for us to attack a little to hard. All the experts here are great in providing help for everyone with questions. Anyway just trying to explain, Wes

I'm sorry Frenzy your bull**** doesn't belong here. Autopians are way to sharp for your absolute bizarre statements. It's ok to be in love with your product line it probably took considerable effort to develop, but the problem is your in love with your own sales pitch and your voice and there is nobody here that is buying it'. Downsettle' you may learn something from us. Condsider yourself Autopianholed, not to be mixed up with cornholed, we are much worse, scrub.

Aren't you one of the guys who pulled the thread out of line in the first place?

:nono :down

From there the mods took their pot shots along with the rest of the community. Maybe you all should check out this friendly reminder.

me -> :tribe: <- you

Seeing that you just joined this month, ahem, today, I don't believe you're allowed to "own" David. Unwritten rule.

datruf .. please tell me you know that DavidB owns this forum and pays all the bills?

This has been one of the funniest days at Autopia.. I've been spliting my sides laughing all day!

This is funny stuff, Wife is out of town, the kids are asleep, and Im LMAO, drinking a cold beer!!!! I would guess that nascar teams do polish and wax their cars (trucks). I mean its a huge freakin billboard, you want it to look good if you happen to finish first. Now the question is does it make the car faster? Id say no. Do they use WF? Id say no. Lets say at the minimum you pick up 1/10 a sec. for 2 laps. at 500 laps (if my math is correct, remember ive been drinking) that equals 25 seconds. Saving 25 seconds per race would equal roughly 100k (I'm just guessing) in research and development from the race team. If I owned a race car and could spend 10 bucks for 25 seconds rather than 100k, then Id have that products name all over my car, ( including my exhaust Itll handle the heat).

Frenzy,

You lost all credibility with me the second you mentioned boats racing in 10-12' seas.

I do have to say that you are a good entertainer.

This thread has gone on long enough. Original topic was lost a long time ago, so it's time to shut it down.
