Product that surprised you the most?

Meguiars Hyper Dressing, in 3:1 formula, when applied to freshly cleaned tires that are still wet is amazing. I've had trouble with it on dry clean tires, but when done right, shines nicely, doesn't sling off of the car and has amazing durability!

Also, for a quick cleaning, meguiars Interior Quik Detailer.

What kind of durability are you getting from it? Car garaged or not? How does it hold up to rain?

On my daily driver, i've seen about a month or so from it. granted, i only drive 2 miles to work (4 times a day though - home for lunch daily)

On my MR2, which sits under a cover in a parking spot outside I've seen 2-3 months from it.

If you drive in the rain, expect less than the month from it. Pretty much washes off, but being a water based product, that's to be expected.

I use two methods for my windows, the old newspaper and I just recently tried Liquid Glass. Both work great, and I have used clay in the past.

Please don't laugh at this one.

Here in my town, we have an Atwoods Farm,Home and Ranch store. It's like Tractor Supply Company for comparison, and they have a really good automotive section.

Recently they clearanced some of their automotive items. I purchased Gunk Tire Shine for less than 2 bucks. I figured I would use it on my "beater", or in wheelwells.

It's an aersosol spray like Meg's Hot Shine and Stoner's MSLT. I like it better than both of them though! It was way easier to use than either of them, and it left the tires looking nice and black! They looked just right IMO, being not too shiny and not too matte either. My tires still look black after about 3 weeks, and I've driven in the rain some too.

Bringing this back from the dead lol..

Fourstar UPP, I tried Collinite IW due to all the hype I've read about it and loved it and figured iw was as good as it gets...tried UPP and was blown away by the slickness, easy to apply and remove to boot.

Windex with vinegar...I can see the horrified looks already. I ran out of NXT window cleaner at my gf's house and grabbed this bottle...I figured I would test it out on the outside windows, just like everyone recommends the vinegar solution eats up those water marks on the windows.

Blackmagic tire gel, I bought this about 4 years ago because I was tired of using spray and I kept losing my gel applicators...this one is a squeeze and brush in one, gel is pretty thick and I never had a sling problem.

Have you tried FMJ? I used to use UPP until I found FMJ...It is not the only product I use by any means, but the slickness and easiness to remove is 2nd to none.

I have to say Mothers Reflections. Great shine with no durability

Maybe you did something wrong or got a bad bottle? I love reflections and it lasts as long as anything else I have ever used. As a matter of fact last spring I did a full detail on my fiances G35 X and to this day water still beads super tight and the car looks great. It is garage kept at night but is driven 20K+ miles a year.

Optimum No Rinse. Great winter wash system. Menzerna FMJ Love the ease of use and slickness(a lil overpriced) 32 oz bottle a better way to go there. Zaino Z2 and Z5 Pro
