Product that surprised you the most?

Z-16 is delicious, to smell and use. What a look it give sthe tires!!!

Optimum blew me away. XMT and regular Pinnacle polishes cant even compete . . it is just such an effective, no dusting, low oil and user friendly polishing system . . .

Automagic Bodyshine . . . washed the lady's beater and when drying using a waterblade (i know, i know, but the car is really bad so until it gets polished the car gets the waterblade) i sprayed the bodyshine on the paint and the shine and gloss was amazing!

For me the most unexpected positive thing was #26's awesome wetness, Collinite 885's overall appearance, TWPUG's killer look and most lately the pure genius of Arexons Speed Polish (a truly excellent carnauba QD).

Letdown surprises were CMW after only 1 coat because it didn't provide the look I was waiting for; but after 3 coats it is GOOD. Next was Z2Pro because I think I was expecting too much. Good product, that's it. The Sonax Xtreme1 was just nice, but unexciting.

Menzerna

WAUD

Microfibers -- Especially the blue sam's deal.

Big Blue II WW drying towels

Excel Detail and his products

Classic Motoring and their products.

Klasse AIO. All around a great product. So many uses.

And a close second: Optimum polish. Fantastic stuff. Best polish I've ever used.

2 Products really stand out:

Clearkote's Red Machine Glaze

Optimum Polish

Both have exceeded my expectations in their catagory.

I would have said those two but since I did some beta testing when it was called Shokar, I already knew they'd be top notch products. ;)

That's not fair, lol Everything else I've used this year I've compared to the Werkstatt Twins, nothing so far has come close. I am pleased with the look right now with Menzerna AJ and Collinite 845 though.

Surprised in a good way: ONR, Werkstatt lambchop mitt, TOL spoke and slot brush

Surprised in a bad way: Menzerna IP and FP (had no effect on vw clear w/ pc)

Funny, I haven't had much luck with the Menzerna polishes using a PC either. Maybe with a rotary they'd be better.

Duragloss AW.

I bit the bullet and bought a gallon. First time using. Would it be good or will I regret it. Well I'm still waiting for the regret part and it hasn't shown up ;) I even mixed it with some left over clay magic QD 4:1 and use that when the car gets dusted up by the rain.

Figured that I'd add Simple Green to the mix. I've always used Greased Lightning (orange blast or regular), and I picked up some SG since it was BOGOF at pep boys. Works like magic for cleaning tires when properly diluted. Smells delicious as well :D

Meguiars #38 Trim and Tire Dressing. I normally use Meguiars Gold Class tire gell but the #38 is simply amazing. Its too bad I decided to grab a few bottles only after Megs recently discontinued it... after hearing from others how great it is. I found a local distributor and bought 4 32oz bottles.. tried it on my SS Camaro... and the results were OUTSTANDING! Wipes on nice and easy and then bonds to the tire... in other words... killer shine and zero sling off, even after doubling the application. It works wonders on trim too!

If you guys can find a bottle locally.. GRAB IT! You wont be dissapointed.

This is an easy one, FK 425. This product has been out for a while yet where was I??

Really a one of a kind product. There isn't a surface it doesn't like. I started using it on my

interior and its minimized the appearance of scuffs without that greasy armor all look. Works superbly on glass and does a first rate job at keeping my wheels and calipers teflon slick.

For a car that is not garage kept 425 is a life saver. Keeps the clean and makes washes effortless as the soil just melts away. In the shine department its not the best I use other products to achieve that pop and just top it with 425. This weekend I did the Optimum Spray Wax+Werkstatt Carnauba Jett mix with *magnificent* results. Best shine I've gotten on silver yet. Actually I cold probably have stopped at Prime Strong and said the same. RIDICULUS glow.

p.s.

I'd also add Optimum No Rinse to that list. 425 and ONR are two products that most car enthusiast don't know about but should.

Werkstatt's Acrylic Jett Trigger - I always used the Klasse twins and AJT sure made life better ..... just didn't know it could look that good, last that long, and be that easy.

Optimum Car Wax - Using this over ONR before I dry I can wash and wax in 20 minutes and this stuff beads like crazy. I would have listed ONR first except after using QEW a couple of years I wasn't surprised.

Optimum polishes are high on the list but I did not have enough experience to really comment on polish.

Suprised in a bad way - Collinite 845. Durability wasn't what I expected, slickness was way down after a month. Maybe I was expecting too much. Still a good product, better than most OTC (Advance Auto can order it). Looked really good on silver metallic.

Eagle One 20/20 glass cleaner. Streaks everywhere, nothing touches Invisible Glass for not streaking.

Good way - Mother's FX Synwax. Very shiny, got 5+ months durability

Duragloss AW - excellent product, 1-2 months durability from a spraywax. Looks great on top of a carnuba.

Meg's #16 - I stumbled on a can at the local Parts Plus. It amazes me how user friendly it is if you get it on thin enough (use PC). Can't comment on durability yet.

Duragloss #105 TPP - I've used it once on a dark gray metallic Nissan and was amazed at the reflections and metallic flakes. Again, can't comment on durability yet.

Sonus Swirlbuster Polish - Haven't used it on black yet, but looks amazing on red. I recently detailed my father-in-law's Chevrolet 2500HD....Swirlbuster topped with EX-P makes it look a mile deep.

Long Haul Truck Polish - I was worried it was gonna be a pain to work with, but it went on easy with the PC and removal was a breeze. Didn't stain trim for me. It wasn't quite as easy as a sealant, but for a cleaner wax it was very user friendly.
