Another us that I like about NL is spray in the AC vents and let dry gives off a great scent....also for a higher shine on the inside put on a second cost, I like shiner finishes and it really steps up the second time around.

Lastly
I read this whole thread....its a times a bit to critical on the BB... I love this place but at times feel like you have to really watch what you say.

NL is good, but the price is kinda high for a large volume operation. If you need a good dressing with far superior durability try AM Dress it Right. Leaves tires glossy if sprayed and left, or wipe on for nice matte finish. Lasts like an oil based dressing. Excellent for rubber trim and moldings. Lasts for weeks and not oily to the touch either. Best of all it is around $16 a GALLON!
It doesn't smell as good, but I am not very concerned about that out of my dreesing.

I don't seem to recall that he said he was using this for a high volume operation, nor was he looking for an alternative.
But I am sure that some members will find the information usefull.

Thank You

I see your point but I think you are being a little nit-picky. The moral to my post is that the Dress it Right imo is a better dressing. Throw in that it is half the cost and that makes it even that much better. I see from Hondaman's post history that he is very interested in water based dressings. And he likes to try many different products to see the different results. I am giving him an opinion and an idea to check out something else that may work well for him.

It might cost a little more but you get what you pay for buy cheap get cheap.
and that can't be good for business...

Yeah im not a big fan of somethig that smeels good either. As long as it works. But where can we find " Am Dress it right " ? :online2lo

Please, let's not get into the "My stuff costs twice as much so it must work better!!" I clearly state that not only does it cost less, it also works better. OK. I have used both products. I find the Dress it Right to be more durable and a bit glossier if that is the finish you desire. Again, my opinion. But my opinion and knowledge and skills as a detailer only earn me over 65K last year. But what do I know.
Again, didn't trash Natural Look. Works fine. Just mentioned another product in the same category of products that he might wanna give a look.

So here we have dumb and dumber ...two people who don't understand what hijacking a thread means

So for a few cents per application (and you magicman are comparing retail pricing to wholesale bulk pricing) you would rather have your clients cars smell like crap :chair:

again I don't recall Hondaman asking you for an opinion or for a recommendation

are we supposed to be impressed:confused: maybe you just know how to rip off people real well:yes:

WOW I think Antonio and others are overrreacting, just because *some people* here now have a negative disposition toward Miami_Sunset. Hondaman didn't ask "what do you use", but he also didn't ask "what are your opinions about NL", which could then just as easily be called hijacking, right? So should there have been no response at all? Maybe Miami should have given more details about why he likes VRT better, but really, relax.

Hondaman, (I'm assuming you now have the sprayer for NL) how easily does it spread, like is it hard to get an even finish? What type of applicator/towel do you use with it? Can you compare any other dressings you have used to NL? And lastly, how is the durability? Thank you :)

Well, well. An a-hole on this board. Never would have seen that coming.
You know I don't think anyone asked for your opinion either.
And retail on the Dress it Right for 16oz is around $6.
And if you can get yourself an operation with 6 employees, taking care of 3 auto wholesalers providing 25 - 40 $125 jobs a week, as well as a private retail set up, go ahead. Then you can question my success. Until then, go back to your driveway and turtle wax your neighbors car.

i think previous discussions have resulted in members posting negative posts.

hey guys, if u like natual look, and might want something a little bit more factory-like, try "303 aerospace"...

oh no, im hi0jacking a thread about interior autocare dressing by giving an opinion about a dressing that gives similar results with slight differences. im such a bad person for starting controversy.

Guys, Settle down.

If we can't share process, procedure, experience, etc.. on DC, then what good is the board?

I like hearing the likes/dislikes about products. I remember the first time that I used S&W -I hated it. Fast forward..... I have it in stock at ALL times and love it, because I learned from others how to use it.

If I see someone that ABSOLUTELY hates a product that I think is great, then I'll probe a little and see if my process/use is different, and try to help.

I've seen many excellent detailers stray from DC over petty debate, and it really takes away from the value of this site.

We need to respect everyone, even if we don't agree.

do u think anyone did anything wrong by giving a p.o.v. regarding a similar dressing?

AMEN :yourrock

I just recently got some NL and am waiting for the right opportunity to try it out. I agree the NL smells delicious. Personally, I'm not sure I'm comfortable with my car smelling like bubble gum though. Not that most competing dressings smell great, but personally I would like to see an odorless dressing. I think maybe some of the clearance versions of NL were odorless, but I'm assuming not intentionally. Otherwise, they probably wouldn't have been on clearance.

OK. Time for me to put in my 2 cents about the bickering at the beginning of this thread. Adding a comment like "I use Mike's Super Duper Dressing because it's better than NL" really adds no value to a thread. Simply saying you prefer one over the other really doesn't tell anyone anything. I would prefer people put down some reasoning. I think in a thread like this if more people add their experience with a product and their reasons for using/not using it that is dead on topic. The more reviews we can cram into one thread the better. Also, I know it helps me understand a review better if a product is compared with something else I have already used.

Also, when you criticize people for taking a thread "off topic" in the thread you're just as guilty. Probably worse because these little spats always seem to pop up after a critical post. So, if you hadn't said anything there would probably be a lot less meaningless posts in the thread.

I use Natural Look and I like it. I had been using 303 but I wanted something with a more matt finish and a nice smell (my natural look smells like cherry). I had problems with it streaking on my dash when I first started using it but I solved that by using a WW towel to apply and buff, and by spraying the product on the WW instead of the dash. I'm not a full time detailer so cost per application is not an issue for me. Natulal Look is my go to interior dressing right now, but I'm sure I will try others.
