Please someone inform this guy about the qualities of a PC

You should explain to him that the PC is not just a $25 orbital from Sears, like he thinks. Tell him the spcifications, etc...



Guy seems kind of arrogant.

I would not waste my time on that dude. It's obvious

he does not have much of a clue:

He hasn't used a PC, so he has no reference to what it can

or cannot do. He only has knowledge based on what his

friend has.

we all wasted money on cutting pads, huh :wall

Well. if you're paying 180 and someone just runs a rotary

over your paint, your not may not be getting maximum value

either. And unless I'm mistaken, there are still some folks

that do all the work by hand. I guess they are ripping folks off

as well?
 
He isn't worth our time and you cannot tell know-it-alls anything. That is why I have not registered on the site, LOL.
 
I agree, leave him there. He's useless to anyone else

except those that don't know any better, or can't do

any better.
 
The perfect picture to use for an example on this guy is the one that's in the Autopia Guide To Detailing. It was the black F150 done by DEEMO, and is in the How to Use the PC section. There isn't a flaw on that truck for this guy to pick at. Another good one is the one directly under that done by Jngrbrdman. Both are excellent examples.



I know the right thing would be to just ignore this guy, but he sure does get under your skin doesn't he?



I agree with everyone esle, please don't invite him. We certainly don't need an argument starter like that over here. If he was willing to learn and share information I would say, yes, but with that know it all atitude he can stay over there.

Oh he does so bad!!!



I would normally ignore him but when he is telling other people what to do or wrong things about orbitals I just can't stand it.



He knows everything though and wont admit one fault because he has to be right about everything. I wish I could show him his faults but apparently he runs the perfect detailing business and we should all strive to be like him!!

He's saying that a PC is good for nothing more than applying glazes and waxes. The thing that's causing so much turmoil is the fact that he thinks a true detail can *only* be done with a rotary, and it has been proven here on Autopia that that is not always true. Sure, a rotary can achieve greater things, but a PC can definitely hold its own and can, in fact, make a car with mild to moderate defects look like new again. Another thing he won't admit to is the fact that a whole lot more damage can be done with a rotary than a PC, regardless of how *professional* the user is.



It's just one of those I know everything and you don't know anything kind of situations.

As I said 50 times already... An orbital CANNOT get the results a rotary buffer can. It may do a fine job, but it does not do the same job as a rotary regaurdless of WHAT you do with it. No question. To say otherwise shows lack of knowledge.

I dont understand why you guys refuse to accept that.

I am not saying it doesnt make cars shiny... I'm saying you cannot repair paint with one like you can with a rotary.

Also keep in mind that halogen lights (aka fire lights) you are using create a huge amount of glare and hide scratches.

IIRC halogen lights show more defects than any lights out there. The halogens show even more than flourescent
