Optimum Instant Detailer

OID = slightly better shine and wetter look

FK425 = slightly thicker solution and easier for me to apply/remove

Both OID and FK425 = both provide equal anti-static protection and equal slickness

Both excellent products! It would be a toss up between both products. Personally, I will buy OID on my next round because I use many other Optimum products.

Try them both...you will not be sorry!

I have both and I prefere OID over 425. I also find that OID is slicker then 425. I have to second Bence question, 425 is IMO a very thin liquid.

OID have also a better smell then 425 :)

When I spray FK425, it seems to cling to the car more than OID. In other words, when I spray FK425 on a vertical surface, it seems to cling to the surface more.

Equal anti static properties? Interesting, the only motivation for me to buy 425 is for the Anti Static.

Anyone test or seen how well QID repels pollen?

OID doesn't make specific claims that their product is anti-static.

I have tried half my hood with OID and the other half with fk425. After driving around for about a week, both sides look identical.

Uh, that is virtually impossible. How can anything smell better than bubble gum?!?!?! :chuckle:

No surprise there at all. Zaino Z6 is anti-static as well. However, I definitely prefer FK 425, as it has a more noticeable effect on my cars paint that Z6 (and I had been using Z6 for 10 years).

I haven't tried OID.
