Ok guys... time to get creative. Wash without a hose?

Do a search on " Bucket Wash " and check out my posts.

I have not been able to use a hose in NY since March

due to the drought. You get real good with some practice.

If you want to see a Pic check out my bucket washed

Volvo in the Media Gallery section.

I'm in the same boat.... apartement with no water. I have found two coin-operated washing bays in my area. One I can't go to because the owner came and told me (not so nicely) that I can't bucket wash in his place because he doesn't make any money and he directed me to a very small sign that said "No bucket washing." Might as well have a sign in big letters that read FREE SWIRLS WITH EVERY WASH!

Anyway, I haven't been bothered at the other one, though I get strange looks from people as they swipe that broom across their vehicle's paint. I spend $1.50 filling my two buckets and rinsing the car off. I wash the entire thing, and spend another $1.50 rinsing it, with time to spare.

Tip: If you do this, make sure to let a few seconds of water spray freely before you fill the buckets or rinse your car, as sometimes the previous person used the wand to use the wand to "spot free" or "soapy" rinse. I don't want that stuff on my car or in the bucket.

Keeping our cars looking good without a water supply and garage make it a bit tougher, but it's not too bad. Good luck!
