It probably will strip some sealant off. Even if comes off, just resleat again

^ yup! im going to try heating it up sometimes this week with a blow drier or simply let the sun heat it up. and ill try more wd40 on it i guess.... oh well wish me luck!

I've got far worse then that off with the 3M adhesive remover ... One guy masked and let sit for a month outside ...

today it got quite warm so it some what make the residue gooey. so i tried WD40 again with an old plastic razor blade and carefully scrubbed off ~ 10 inches of the residue on the trim.. still got a lot to go and the process is extremely slow. and after WD40 the plastic seems rubbery (not sticky) like on a fresh black shoe sole... hmm...
