No Sling?

Has anyone found a high gloss tire dressing with NO sling? Almost all I have tried have a lot of it. I was working with the Eiman Fabrik Tire Gel and that has the least amount I have ever used out of a gel. Both the PB and the CG line seem to have tons. Any of you guys find any that have none and still put a high gloss on the tire?

I use Megs HyperDressing (cut to you desired level of shine) or 303 Aerospace Protectant. These products don't give you that gel-like sheen but they don't sling either. Most products I've tried (and I've tried a lot) sling. This despite a wipe down of the tire after applying. Perhaps something depends on how far your tires might extend beyond the wheel wells and the shape of the wheel wells because I see a lot of recommendations for tire products here which make an absolute mess of the side of my car.

Armor All Extreme Shine doesn't sling at all in my experience, and it's actually surprisingly durable.

I had tons of sling when I used this product. Did multiple cars as well.

it could be your process not the product

how do you clean the tires?

do you remove the excess with a rag?

how long do you wait before driving?

Most of the products i've tried haven't slinged. Keep in mind a little goes a really long way if applied correctly, and you should give it some time to "soak" in.

Mothers FX tire shine doesnt sling at all for me. I use a heavy degreeser on the tires to pull out the previous tire shine. Then I use a foam applicator and spray it with the FX and wipe it on. Let it sit for 10 minutes and reapply and let it sit for another 10 minutes and thats it. When you do this the tire shine actually soaks into the tire instead of sitting on the tire so it doesnt sling.

This is my fiances G35X. you can see what the FX looks like. You can also sort off see the shine is in the tire and not on the outside surface.

Nice shine there, Bro! :2thumbs: But, I hesitate to use FX because for some reason, it doesn't last and it's ultra shiny for my taste. I wish I could achieve your results with that...

Going back to post, I'm on the tryouts for new stuff, I have FX, which I do not like for above stated reasons, Meg's Hot Shine Gel, Which I like the shine, and last somewhat decent, can go ok with 1 rainshower, more thatn that, is out. I will get Meg's Hot Shine spray, AA Extreme Tire Shine, and Looking for PB BnB later on... I will keep updated with the results.

ArmorAll Extreme Gel will not sling if applied and then buffed. Nor will BnB or most of the products. I think if you are leaving it "wet" rather than buffing it off you will then get sling.

AA Extreme Gel has very good durability.

I think a lot of it has to do with the tires and the surface of the sidewall. I get a fair amount of gloss off of BnB on my Michelins? Don't know why I get the gloss but I do.

Also I don't get any sling off of AA Extreme gel. Like they say "your results may vary" ???
