Need a product that wont do this when it rains!

The Ultima Tire and Trim Guard Plus will not streak and it's durable. But it is expensive, no doubt about it. I wish it were available in a smaller size. If you are only using the product on trim and cladding, the 12 oz. bottle will last you forever.

I typically use the Ultima Paint Guard Plus on our CR-V (except this winter). I apply it to almost everything--paint, cladding, plastic and metal trim. UPGP is expensive, too, but it's so versatile and easy to use--well worth the investment, IMHO.

Yeah, the Ultima is working out *SUPER* on the stuff I use it on. Only issue I have is that the pre-application prep has to get things in pretty nice shape for it to look swell and that can be an issue on really abused/neglected/trashed surfaces.

UTTGP was my go to trim protectant until I found GTechniq. If you think UPGP goes a long way, wait til you use GTechniq.

GTechniq told me that C1 works just like C4 on trim. C1 is only available to professionals tho.

Yeah, you need to sign a waiver of some sort. If C2 goes 6 mos. I'm using C1. When the detailing guys start to see how well C4 works it will be the flavor of the month for a long time.

I didn't need to sign a waiver, just talked them them directly. I think they looked at my website or something. C2 neat is supposed to last up to 8 months, in spray detail form 1-2 months. C4 up to 2 years. C1 is guaranteed for 5 years.

FWIW, Meg's Ultimate Quik Wax does a great job on plastic of all kinds, shiny or textured. Perhaps a better vinyl and plastic dressing than any of their older vinyl targeted products. It dries hard with no oily residue or white staining, leaves a new looking sheen but not shiny. Slight darkening effect also.

Meg's has announced some new 2011 products a couple days ago and I believe two were for vinyl and plastic trim and should reach the market after the first of the year. They are; Vinyl & Plastic Coating and Ultimate Protectant Spray along with renaming of their Ultimate Protectant product to Ultimate Black Plastic Restorer.

In the meantime, I absolutely love UQW for all the exterior plastic/vinyl/chrome/glass, etc. There is zero runoff in the rain. This UQW is being made available in gallon sizes as Synthetic X-Press Spray Wax too.

It's the best 40 bucks you'll spend for a trim protectant. Going on 4 months on a daily driver with no garage. A bottle will last you several years.

Legacy, How's the Beading after rains 4 months in?

And yeah, I do generally precede it with something like KAIO.

Does KAIO provide any real benefit after polishing?

Interesting, Wouldn't an IPA wipedown do the same and save lots Of time or does KAIO add extra *pop* to the paint even after polishing/burnishing?

Or also does it provide a better base than a polished paint surface?

C4 might not streak, but it washed off completely in first rain, 24 hours after application. Instructions followed completely. You think Ultima is expensive, gtechniq's C4 is insane!! 25 mL for $60.00 delivered. Would be worth it if it worked as advertised, but 2 years?? didn't last 2 Days!! I am going to break down and just paint them. 2001 Nissan Frontier. If you like it, I will sell you a 25 mL unopened bottle for 1/2 price.

Not my experience!! Put c4 on Sat AM according to instructions, Rain late SAT nite, Sunday had all washed off, back to weathered grey. 2001 Nissan Frontier.
