not with a carnuba topper like the natty's blue. after allowing proper cure time you will just be adding another layer of wax. same is true for sealants. if you allow for proper curing time the sealant can be layered. however when using a polish or cleaner wax then, yes, you would be just removing the wax that you had put on. if the wax you are layering has abrasive or cleaning properties it is pointless to layer. don't get me wrong though, there is definetly a benefit to multiple polishing steps like different levels of swirl removal as polishing brings out the brilliance of your paint and provides a level surface for sealant and wax application.
