Nanotechnology, Matrix Micro Coating?

not really that expensive. 12 oz for $35 and they are running a 2fer special at $60. that's less than some boutique products. It is a bit of a sterile shine. Probably a decent product for aircraft.

I get mine from the aussie distributor and although I think his photo's suck as the before and afters are taken at two different angles and time of the day, since Fireglaze plus and DS have really impressed me, I'm willing to buy it and do a massive paint coating test between toughseal, glare, fireglaze, permagard PD, Aeropoxy and Matrix

Kerosene does NOT remove wax. It's used to carry it. Wax is hard and solvents of all types are used to thin it to either liquid or paste. The carrying agent is meant to evaporate and in turn leave behind only the wax. It will not remove wax. The dry wash i use has between 5-7 percent kerosene in it along with carnuba and three polymers that stay behind and leave protection.

Kerosene was the go-to car show / Saturday night cruising shine/gloss booster back in the 60's and 70's (single stage paint was the norm).

Kerosene was also used as water repellent at automatic car washes to assist the drying cycle. EPA rightfully put a stop to this practice.

Why would i wanna wipe it on straight from the pump??? If you use a product that contains kerosene and wax and polymers that means you wanna pour kerosene undiluted and straight from the pump??? Going by your logic i guess you'd suggest rubbing hard unmodified carnuba directly on paint i guess? Most products contain water too. Do you suggest to them to use straight water on their car and nothing else?

I'd think there'd be better ingredients than kerosene with which to formulate a quick car wash. I don't believe that QEW has kerosene in it.

For those who have a daily driver and/or are severly limited on time/or who know that some colors are not going to reflect substantial efforts, the HyperGloss/HyperSeal are extremely economical as they will last forever.......as evidenced by those who have been using it for ten or more years.

Vehicle stays cleaner longer than with anything that I have used...and I have tried many many products over the past 50 years.

Like anything, it takes some time to do the job right. Why do it any other way. And knowing you only have to do it well/one time.

They also have a product: TireShine that I have found works very well, as good or better than any others I have tested/tried.

If you have a ShowCar...and the time to massage it to perfection...knock yourself out...by all means.. Watching the car shows et.al. is what got me ramped up again.

For the vast majority, especially for the 50% who never wax their vehicles...because of time/and/or inclination.......they would serve themselves very well by discovering and using this product. Long term value of the vehicle/good looks on the vehicle/safety....numerous good reasons to support the use of the products this company offers.

Have tried FiveStarShine/different altogether: Teflon type products require very high heat to adhere properly as is done on cookware etc. Greatly hyped/good product/may not fit well with various spray and wipe products and/or those who like to layer things over the top to enhance the shine factor...... Much more costly than any thing similar on the market including Matrix-Micro Coatings...which generally can be used for two or three vehicles.

Let's see . . . all of DetailinDave1's three posts (including one I removed because it read like an infomercial) refer to this Matrix snake oil. His IP resolves to a location in Chicago that is less than five miles from the listed address for Matrix's offices there. What's that I smell?

Hey we don't know if the product is snake oil but agree on spamming rules

Dave you are welcome to email me if you wish

Oh and there are ways to make light colours deep, rich, wet and sharp

sealants with no cleaners

My thought is that any company that resorts to spam and/or shills must not have much of a quality product to start with. You're right though, I haven't evaluated the product itself, only the company's business practices.

I must admit that I am confused and greatly disappointed. If you found something that truly superior and outstanding, would you not want to share it with everyone who may have a particular interest? Not to seems much worse than to go forward with illuminating your experience.

The fact that I happen to be near where the product is manufactured is totally circumstantial. I tried 5StarShine and thought is was pretty good. But in doing a search on the internet for "The Best Car Wax", this just happened to pop up. Having tried numerous other products and having done a great deal of personal research/strictly for personal use as an enthusiast, I thought I would give it a shot....and was blown away by the amazing water beads I have never seen with any other product!

I used the product on my wheels this weekend. My mechanic who is naturally in to cars....NASCAR.....has a fine '65 vettte than I have seen........was amazed at the result and said he had never seen anything like and wants to try it on his wife's Volvo....where the wheels accumulate a lot of brake dust. I have tried WheelWax....thinking it was very good. I think this is much better..and will be happy to report my experience....for those so skeptical to think I any reason/or monetary interest/in the product......none...that is read NONE whatsoever..... I paid retail......and am looking forward to sharing the good news with all of my FRIENDS and RELATIVES.

Spammer.........never have and have no intention of doing so........

Just obsessed with keeping my vehicles clean and shiny....you can ask my Mechanic (he makes fun of me....) or my daughter. Started forty some years ago...with keeping my racing bike clean and shiny.......and my father getting me to use Blue Corral...a two stage product that was a ***** to buff off....... Comparatively, this is relief and a breeze.....no need to spend great effort buffing.......wipe on/let dry/wipe on next step/let dry/and wipe on the final step and you are done for the life of the car......what is not to like about that.

I am a CPA in good standing. Thank you for listening....and all I can say....try it/test it/make your own objective conclusion....it costs a whole lot less than 5StarShine.....

water beads - well I couldn't give a damn about water beads

It's sheeting action that is what I'm more interested in and of course the clarity of the finish after using a product.

Products that sheet bead in the rain. Loose rain beading is probably poor protection.

Never noticed any difference on my two cars. Beads remain the same.

When it rains the beads are always the same no matter what I do with them

I do find it quite amazing...as I have never noticed much difference regarding beading or sheeting....... But in this case...the beads are much rounder....they just sit up so as to appear "unattached".....which in fact seems to be the case.

Generally, after a rain, or a quick "rinse" at the car wash....the beads sit there.....and tend to stay there/dry on the surface. My experience has been that the water sits there, in this case, until it evaporates - leaving little to no tell-tale residue. And that is a very good thing!

I can say for certain, that my car and wheels now stay much cleaner/much longer than with any of the multitude of products I have enjoyed using/testing. Believe me, my daughter/and sometimes my wife/make mention of the number of products...not realizing that you need different products for different applications as everyone on this site knows all too well......leather/plastic/glass/rubber......

I am liking the 303 Aerospace Protectant I have recently learned about and used to detail my engine and my interior. Nice matte finish that would seem to offer excellent and long term protection.

I am pondering the best leather Cleaner/Conditioner/Protectant/Combination. Would love to hear your input........."Hide Food"/Leatherique/Lexol.....

303 seems to make a good carpet/fabric protectant as well.

Sure like the "Blind Spot Mirror/German" that I got recently. I am all about saftety.

I'm not a very smart man (not that I'm telling you guys anything new there), but my keen sense of logic tells me that DetailinDave1 and the recently banned Detailjohn are (oh my gosh) the *same* person. He sure likes a good Matrix Microcoating, don't he?

Even if their product was the very best made, I wouldn't buy it just because of their dishonest marketing practices.
