Nanotechnology, Matrix Micro Coating?

so what does anyone know about this stuff I'm curious but the price is high priced

to resale on a customers car you would have to charge at lest $300 or more but if it works that would be great

There was a member on here who kept mentioning about this product. He sounded like a spammer to me, and if IIRC I believe he's been banned.

EDIT: his sn was metropolitandet

The combination of HyperGloss & HyperSeal offers excellent protection. Having said that it is more for those that are not prepared to care for a vehicle on a regular basis or to Autopian standards/attention to detail. Not a concours-look or anything like that but still a very good finish and one which is really durable. Easy after care too.

The first time I used these products was a real learning curve of sorts. The first two wash stages ... Prep Clean 1 & 2 are straight forward. The HG & HS cans need to be shaken well & often to avoid some potential issues. The HyperGloss is applied (massaged into the finish) and it will haze over after 15-30 mins, depending on air movement and weather conditions (which can play havoc with same, so some familiarity on a test panel beforehand is recommended). The resulting HG residue is left on the finish, not buffed off. The HyperSeal is then applied much more sparingly in long even strokes and it will remove the HyperGloss powders/residue and leave behind its own sealant coating. The HyperSeal residue needs to be buffed after approx 15/20 mins of application. Any longer and it can be difficult to remove. It is beneficial to use heat lamps immediately after completion to assist the bonding/curing process of the two coatings. After an hour or so you can do a second set of HyperGloss & HyperSeal coatings if you so wish. Ongoing maintenance is reduced as HyperSeal (the top/outermost element) leaves behind a coating with high-release properties. One of the better long term coatings. Having said that the solvent odours are savage - respiratory gear strongly recommended.

I have also tried the HyperPolish which is an all-in-one type product but did not think much of it. Good as a sealant but the finished look is nothing special. The HyperPolish NP I have not tried but it sounds somewhat better. AFAIK it has no cleaning properties so needs the full prep works before application.

Edit: 5 Star Shine (PPS Technology) is a completely different sealant system altogether.

Ya, if I owned a space shuttle I'd probably buy 5 star shine. That would be a b---ch to wash and wax every week. I don't think 5 star shine has industry leading gloss and shine tho and I don't think any pros want to use a sealant that lasts over 100 washes. Also, before I'd ever consider applying any product to a painted surface that claimed such durability I'd make sure that it could be safely removed from the paint should bodywork and repainting ever be necessary.

It looks like your typical "space age technology" infomercial kinda thing. Doesn't mean it doesn't work but i get skeptical when i see space ships in polish ads.

The waterless car wash products of the 90's were great products actually IMO and i still use them as one step wash wax and protect products.

It's kinda funny how everyone is going crazy over the CG product ONE. It looks great but what does it do that Dri Wash 'n Guard or Waterless wash and Wax 3000 doesn't do???

Anyway, i've never tried it but any infomercialesque product has to overcome the stigma first but i'm open to anything.

I've looked into it and contacted them about it but I didn't go ahead with the purchase

Have moved to Permagard PD 5000 which is sensational gloss booster and sealant

Sure gives plastics and urethane trims a hell of a gloss by rotary.

Plus it fills in some scratches and swirls (only got this yesterday)

I also bought the 1 Litre shampoo of theirs for $20 bucks and checked it with my PH testing sticks. Very low PH, definately below 6

Well for one, Dri Wash is mostly white water kerosene which will remove most anything that's already on the paint.

5starshine is an superb sealant with very good durability and looks. I have not used a better protective sealant. And their is no problems when you are going to repaint a car.

Pumice. I'm not happy with any waterless products yet, they need more foam

Hey if porta says somethings gold, I'll get it

That's the PPS technology stuff right?

Nano is the next Teflon. But with all the improvements in chemical technology today, this product might work well. Hell Teflon got me into detailing 20 years ago, so it wasn't all bad.

Not only that product looks familar but It looks like another company got a hold of the product and is selling as a product line called glare claiming the same thing 5 year protection but needs polishing once a year.

Glare and 5starshine is not the same product.

I think it contains abrasives of some sort as well.

I use waterless products on two cars that sit in my driveway. One car sits under a palm tree and berries drop off and then the rain bleeds the color out of the berries and the sun bakes them into my paint. The other car sits under a live oak that drops leaves and these little acorns that also bleed color onto the paint. The waterless stuff is non-abrasive( you could feel it in your fingers) and it cleans these stains without marring at all. Three years of these acorn/palm deposits and prolly a couple hundred stains cleaned with no scratching. If it is kerosone then kerosene is harmless to auto paints.

Puts a great shine on the Ferrari too.
