My Golf III GTI with new wheels:)

I am usually a muscle guy but I can appreciate a clean car. I like the new wheels and the tires have an interesting look. I can dig it. I can see the work that went into it. Like there aren't some weird things here in the states too. Anybody remember curb feelers? LOL. Thirty years ago CB radios were the rage too. Did Motorola make one? But seriously cool car, cool wheels, and I like the look of the tires.

You guys also have to remember that there are very few cars made outside the US that would pass our regulations anyway. Why do you think imports are so high? The manufacturers that make their products for their population wouldn't be allowed to sell over here. Honda and Toyota make their products for US consumers with US regulations in mind. You couldn't even take an Italian Ferrari and legally drive it on US streets.

Is it more dangerous? Sure. But so are dozens of other things we do to our cars when we mod them.

Gah, please believe me when I say that I really hate to be "this guy" but this just begs the question..... what are the other things done to cars that decrease safety by a factor proportional to stretching a tire that thin?
