Good evening o wise detailers of the world, I have been asked by a friend of my wifes to advise her re a paint problem she has.The lady in question has a new shape 6mth old honda civic in metalic black, her next door neighbour's are having the outside of their house painted and while the painters were painting the stippled concrete between the two bay's they have gotten some speckles of white paint on the drivers side wing and front / rear doors. They have said that it is water based and only needs a few "good" washes and they will come off ,however she has already had the car cleaned twice with no difference. My question is this, would using a clay bar and lube followed by a dual action cleaner polish or sfx2 via pc or any such polishes be any use as i dont know how soft the paint will be.I havent said i will do it but i thought i would get some info b4 i get asked

Thanks in advance

clay, lube, polish will work,

WD-40 will work,

Mineral oil will probably work,

I'd try the wd-40 first just because it'd be easiest to start with.

Follow up with a wash, examine for damage, then another application of sealant or wax or whatever was on there prior to the errant paint specks.
